Going in as one of the favorites, Finland will be battling against Mexico first. With team captain Welmu and kid prodigy Serral and rather unknown Zerg player Pupu, they should not find a lot of competition in Mexico. Mexico's chances depend solely on MajOr's form, or can they hope for a miracle performance from JimRiSiNg or Maker?
In our second match of the evening, top European Zerg, VortiX, will be fighting against the beasts from Eastern Europe: Kas, Bly and DIMAGA. Considering current form, Vortix is favored against all three of Ukraine's players. And with Majestic and AlaStOr backing him up, Spain is the favorite going into this match.
JimRiSiNg, currently playing for Kaos Latin Gamers, is the Mexico's captain.
Hello JimRiSiNg. Your opponent is Finland, which is a new country in NationWars. Are you happy with the draw?
JimRising: "Well, I am very excited to play Finland and especially to face Welmu and Serral who are 2 top players from Europe"
What is the key to win this match? What is the detail which will make your team win?
JimRising: "The key to win this match is the Swarm Hosts and MajOr. I do think they are our hope and the detail is we are beaners and we have the power!"
Who would you like to meet in Ro8 if you win: Germany or Canada?
JimRising: "Well, I would like to play Canada because we know how they play and I think we can do a better performance vs them"
Welmu, currently playing for NewRoSoft, is the Finland's Captain.
Hello Welmu, thank your for accepting this interview. What do you feel about being the first Finland's captain for NationWars?
Welmu: "Well, I was fine with anyone being captain but I guess my duty and honor to be leading team Finland"
Elfi just retired, which made Finland weaker. It is such a bad news for your country. How did it affect your squad?
Welmu: "Elfi taking a break from sc2 was definitely big hit for our squad, but I trust in pupu and serral that we can still show very good results."
Today, you will face Mexico for a very important match. Observers think that your matches against Major will be the peak of the match. How will you handle this match?
Welmu: "I think my teammates also have good shot at taking out major or any other mexican player, but they are not to be underestimated and if it comes down to me vs major I will definitely take him down."
What is the favourite team in NationWars in your opinion?
Welmu: "Team Finland is of course the favorite and will prevail with power of sisu!"
Kas is a teamless player and was elected by the other Ukrainian players as a captain.
Hello Kas. You are the new Ukraine's captain. Why did you change your captain and what do you want to bring to the Ukrainian squad?
Kas: "Well, we are really good friends. We just decide to change this time and to choose another captain. Between Bly and me, coinflip decided what it will be me."
Ukraine has legendary players with Bly, Dimaga and you. How are your shapes at the moment?
Kas: "We have been preparing hardly for this tournament. Every player wants to win, and right now everyone in good shape and will show good games."
You kept exactly the same squad as the past edition. Do you think you are stronger than before?
Kas: "Well, I feel a little bit sad because Ukraine have many good player and only 3 registered for this tournament. I would have loved to see some more guys trying to get into it. I think this time we are a bit stronger and with all the motivation we have, we would rock !"
You kept exactly the same squad as the past edition. Do you think you are stronger than before?
Kas: "Spain is a really hard oponent.I am very sad they do not have Lucifron, but even without him they have nice players what we should not underestimate. In my opinion, the key to win will be not lose lose 2 games in a row, every player needs to make a small step for the final win and overall Ukraine is stronger so we should win!"
VortiX is currently playing for Mousesports and is the Spanish captain.
Hello VortiX, you are still the Spain's captain. After a complicated NationWars I, Spain is back with the same line-up. How is the squad?
VortiX: "I think we're all in better shape than in the last nationwars, I was kinda busy with exams back then and was in a really bad shape and Majestic and Alastor have grown a lot as players since then. Besides, we are really motivated to make a better performance this season and make the Spanish community proud, so we are preparing properly for this."
You will face Ukraine today. You are the best player of your team and looks able to win alone this match even if Ukraine's squad is very strong. What's your opinion about it?
VortiX: "I think all of us, Majestic, Alastor and me have the same importance in the team, if they have a good day they can definetely be a threat to any ukranian player, so I don't want to think of the match as "either I win or we lose". I'm in quite a good shape right now and if I play my best I think I can win them, that's true, but I can also lose."
What is the difference between Spain in NationWars I and today?
VortiX: "We've all improved since then, and we are even more motivated, because the semifinals now are offline, and it's already a huge thing to achieve, and we believe if we give our very best we can definetely make it into the top4."
Do you have any preference for the next round: United Kingdom or Poland?
VortiX: "Both of them are really good, so I don't really mind, no matter who it is we will give our best and try to put on a good show."
We did not swapped those matches only for Demuslim. We had too much players engaged on the 2 competition last week. That swap was the better way to allow the 2 competition to be played today on a safely way.
I would thx Fragbite staff for that agreement RGDS Kerri

And oh ye, elfi but he is not playing coz he is on break?
PuPu won them in voting or at least Zhuge and Jagelius. I'M not sure if Protosser was available to vote for. He got Top 6 in http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/LANTREK'14 winning ZhuGeLiang and Satiini
Major playing well as always, but this little switcharoo probably won't do too much. Tech switching is even easier for Serral, and he already has all mutabane tech and upgrades.

Give Mexico a chance, maybe Major is the only well known, but JimRising is a pretty good player altogether and Maker, even if it's not on par with the other two IMO its still pretty solid.

I still can't believe he did that, like dude what the fuck there's fandom and then there's what he did like holy shit. I still see it when I close my eyes.
There's probably something wrong with me, both for wanting to find these offending posts from Finland's bloodiest dwarf, but also my rank failure to find them
I remember listening to this on radio while playing bw ;p
I still barely remember how drunk I was getting half way and how quickly I got sober just to get incredibly drunk again. Foppa and Sudden, ayyy caramba!

He got timed out for posting a "deal with it" gif. No bad stuff but he have a history of picture and meme posting.

It looked weird, but killing the six collosus (thus reseting their numbers) made it quite a good trade.
Strong game from Kas. Let's see vs Alastor
Yeah, it looked like he got destroyed completely, but then somehow he killed two nexi with an army he wasn't supposed to have anymore. Amazing comeback really.

That wasn't close. Can VortiX take 3 maps? hmmm
I would say it's possible for Vortix to win 3. He's pretty strong although I guess ZvZ could get a little tricky. I think he can beat Kas though without large difficulty

I've missed all of Spain vs. Ukraine up until 3 seconds ago, but I just want to point out that in a country vs. country competition, I don't think there is any pro-level sport where Mexico would be favored over Finland, this being no exception. Latin America, not to be underestimated.

Football (soccer).
Maybe Baseball too. Do they even play it in Finland? It's technically pro level

it's a gimmicky allin that pretty much relies on terran not having vision in his main.. :/ worked vs jjakji though ^^
i would even still think that you would want at least +1 armor against marines and even a potential scv pull from the mineral line. but i'm not the pro i guess it's just supposed to be a gg button?

He needs to be more varied in his play I guess, hard to play the same way every game in a boX unless ur someone like Polt.
There is bigger possibility that I'll learn to fly in space than Kas is going to double rax someone Would be great if he picks something from Maru for example.
