Nah, thanks but not interested. I think I'd rather get some work done before the insanity starts again. I wonder whether we will finally see some players cast in English on the B-stream?

Anyways its was pretty fun to watch, especially IRL shots with funky german music ahaha. Cheering for YoDa,Dayshi,Revenge and Golden !
I don't think any of those were that surprising, each of those players was playing for second and Lambo, Socke and Ret are all on the same level as the other three.
All in the news. And It will be updated via Twitter I guess
I don't see any results
Liquipedia? What is your point? D:
He is editing Liquipedia. Liquipedia doesn't work if Liquipedia editors have to lookup in Liquipedia for results
Well we update it on stream all the time T_T;; I can post results
but your stream is in German, do you see the problem? why don't you have official results on your website? it's the same problem for every tournaments organized by TakeTV

Sure if they remove mech and skytoss or give Zerg some other units that can actually deal with maxed compostions
No one is suggesting to just remove swarm host and leave zerg the way it is. People just get utterly frustfrated killing endless waves of locusts and forced to a turtle game and this is why they want swarm host gone.

And terran has to turtle in response to swarm hosts...
In WoL the idea was to build really scary 200/200 mech army and attack. Now you get completely wrecked if you try to move out with maxed out mech army against swarm hosts.

And it all started with a hatch straight at the gold.
Socke!!!!!!!! I love MC but fuck the hell yes Socke!!!!!! He's always been somewhat under rated in the foreign scene but always put down good consistent results!!

I think if Snute had used his Vipers better against the Colossus and built a few Corrupters to kill the Warp Prisms, he would have won. Abduct destroys Colossus, and First's main army was so Colossus heavy and the anti-air was like 2 Stalkers, 2 Sentries and a few Archons...

Perhaps, but it's true that Korean Zergs go less and less into mass SH and more and more into air.

I wonder if Snute got a bunch of Corrupters instead of Vipers he'd do better. First lacks anti-air, and Snute doesn't have the damage to finish off the Colossus after the Abducts.
Has Socke ever been so close to win such a tournament ?
I mean, it's probably not the most stacked he's been to, but there still was some pretty good players. We may see the first tournament won by a foreigner with korean presence since Stephano.

he reached a ro8 in a fairly stacked mlg tournament back in the day, and a lot more high rankings. though 2013 wasn't too kind to him :/
Can someone kindly give me a brief overview of what happened in the last game between snute and first? could not watch it because i was taking a shower - was it swarmhosts once more?

To be fair, First was just too one dimensional with his predictable stargate play. Even tho his phoenix usage is really good, what damage did he do? 2 queens and 3-4 drones for 4 phoenixes? The phoenix opener let Snute tech to SH on just 30 lings so he could get SH out before First had AoE and it just snowballed from there. Sure, Snute lost his fourth multiple times but First's third was always under pressure.
I think First had to show some gateway pressure so Snute couldn't take a 4 minute third and just drone up.

it was Merry Go Round quick max swarmhost without upgrades. pretty much 3base zerg all the time. each other sniping bases. but smarm hosts in middle with lots queens and spores too much for first.

Phoenix play is super, standard, normal and meant to be predictable. They were normal games and Snute played well.

Game 1: HyuN goes 10 Pool Baneling versus 15 Hatch for gold minerals on Habitation Station by TLO. As you can tell it didn't go well for TLO.
Game 2: Both players open Roaches but HyuN denies TLO's third with lots of Zerglings. TLO goes for Nydus Worm which largely fails and HyuN maxes out on Roaches. HyuN attacks TLO's third with an upgrade disadvantage and loses a big engagement. TLO counterattacks but HyuN has Roaches everywhere to kill TLO's Drones. HyuN defends TLO with a larger bank and holds.
Game 3: TLO goes Mutas and HyuN goes Roaches. HyuN doesn't take too much damage and goes for an attack with Roaches, Queens and Infestors. HyuN takes a bad engagement initially but gradually takes the Roach lead, and follows up with Hydras to take the series.

Yea Dirndlcasting! By the way the thing you are wearing is as far away from a "real" dirndl then i am distant from the moon.
? What. Its a real Dirndl ? :D
Yea kinda^^ At least one of these that are sold to tourists for 300 bucks .
Maybe something useful if you are a girl (or a girlfirend) and go to Oktoberfest: If it has a knot or a bow dont wear it on the left. You are basically saying "go ahead i am looking for a men. Any men".

It would mean "I am single" which I am :D
Yea i am wondering what happens if you are a girl standing on the table in Oktoberfest and screaming "i am single". I could be wrong but i think the guys with the 3+ Maß will not say "wow i am wondering that such a nice girl doesnt have a boyfriend. Such a shame".

Well from looking at pictures of First he must have gained a lot of weight, hihi
Well, Reis seems to keep MC well fed, why not First as well...? ^_^
Maybe the Twitter and Facebook posts got it wrong, I dunno. I remember ReaL learning english quite fast in the old Type Gaming days, so it really might be him.
I imagine that Reis makes all the guys in the GEM house learn english though. The past has shown that the Koreans with english skills are more beloved in the casual audience.^^
Final Edit: Since MC called him First I guess we can close this investigation. Good work Sherlock! =)

I just love the MC oneliners.
It's funny at times, but he's pretty much stuck in a ruck as of recently, blurping out things like "oooh so OP, so BM, EZ jerg" every time he's on camera.
Guys at Millenium, it's cool that you have your own stream, but it would be even better if you sid a single word about, you know, the game that is being played. And not every single Nicholas Cage movie
I get that TaKe likes to have a laid back style of tournament but not having a proper english cast kinda takes it down a notch for me. I don't speak german or french and this broken english/korean cast is mind numbing after 10 minutes. Enjoying the games, but I'm just watching it on mute...

This tournament was announced as a 'homestory cup light' for the subscribers of TakeTV (all Germans). The streams in other languages just jumped in (they are non-official).
as long as hyun didnt get sweeped im happy , hes showing hes one of the top 5 zergs in the world at the moment with great all round consistency, no shame in losing to a zvz monster like snute

There are, without exaggeration, more English tournament casts than anyone can ever watch. And believe it or not, there are a lot of people who do not understand English well or simply prefer a cast in their native language. Or they just want a non-English cast for a change (that includes myself). So it's certainly wrong to say that "everyone" would have benefitted.
So my thanks to TakeTV for the event. I enjoyed it quite a bit and the games weren't bad either.

I presume he means setting up an English cast next to this German cast. Khaldor did great, but obviously having someone on-site is better. Lone Star Clash happening at the same time hurts as well. Either way I'm very happy about this tournament and how well the foreigners played. It seems that 2014 will be better than 2013 in that regard. Thanks Take & Crew!
