You went from 33 koreans out of 56 to a max of 19. In one season that's much better than expected.

How many Koreans eliminated each other though.

So I checked that just for information, and the answer was "one". Not sure that was the answer you were looking for.

Two. Top beat Violet, Has beat Jaedong.

Actually Three. Xigua beat Hero.

The best players are advancing.

What exactly is lame about that? The 8 Koreans that will be moving on are all significantly superior players than the foreign players that aren't.

Can't understand why people are upset about this.

It kinda kills the whole 'foreigner underdogs' storyline.
And eliminates many players that people would root for.

the thing that sucks about it is that the American players aren't as good as Koreans haha and so we don't get to see our countrymen compete

I sure hope challenger league audience will be at an all time high next season to support your claim.

Of course it won't. Don't be silly.

Can't tell if you're being stuchiu right now, but I was referring to Nestea vs KingKong being the only match where a korean was eliminated out of the league by another korean.

there's no magic inbetween way to set up a tournament so lesser players beat better ones

2v1 tournament, 2 americans vs 1 korean

I saw that in Clan Wars. It was actually really even.

lol wtf, which clan wars was this, might take a peek...

I thought it was EG vs IM but I see it was TL, so change American for European. Snute/Bunny vs Lucky/Ruin where Ruin had to fight on his own. http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/SHOUTcraft/Clan_Wars

If you look at it another way, WCS NA has eliminated 4 more Koreans than WCS EU.

If anyone wanted pure Koreans in WCS AM then they could just increase GSL size you know?

In a lot of ways, that's exactly what the WCS system has done.

Blizzcon was awesome, the regional and seasonal finals were all great last year.

WCS is formatted so the best players win and the best players are seen the most. It's working. Last year was some of the best Starcraft I've ever watched.

But quality of starcraft doesn't get viewers. The event which got the most viewers apart from blizzconn was WCS Europe Season final 1 (Stephano).
Viewers want foreigners, not best quality of sc2
