He played brilliantly but he won on the back of genius builds. that CC behind the mineral line on tal darim? How is that standard play. it's a brilliant move but that game had many more features than that (20+ bling exploding, 3/3 mutas etc...) and the 6th game?
I'm not saying he was not good at TvZ. But his wins were brainy, like many nshs players(san, sage) at the time, he got advantages by clever builds and decisions, not solely on the back of mechanics.

I watched those games, and they legitimately justified Artosis' "never ever gonna happen" prediction. ;p also: On March 27 2014 05:33 MasterOfPuppets wrote:On March 27 2014 05:31 TheAnarchy wrote:On March 27 2014 05:29 NovaMB wrote:On March 27 2014 05:28 Obstbaum wrote:On March 27 2014 05:25 robson1 wrote: Dayshi has got this i feel. Jjakji is one of the best tvp players in the world. But his tvz has been always been really bad (in comparison with other top terrans). Believe it or not, the statistics say that his TvZ has literally always been his best match-up since 2011, sometimes by a large margin, sometimes by a lesser one but still. If you see the stats most of his games are against no so good zergs and against very good terran or protoss. As an example he hasnt defeat any top korean zerg this year (except you consider Hydra being one).
I agree that atm TvZ is jjakji's by far worst matchup.

That's not very impressive, not to take anything away from them they are all good, but none of them has achieved much results, especially agaist koreans. MajOr has results in tvt vs kor (two times taeja, bbyong). He almost beat jjakji in the Vasacast Invitational. Extremely close series, especially considering cross-server NA-EU latency. i want to see his mech vZ against some decent kor :p These days I'd say his TvZ is his weakest match-up, which is a bit surprising to be honest.
still the best foreign mech by faaaaaaaar

you don't win a bo7 out of mechanics even when you're bogus and at your peak :'(

True, I actually did not like Korean terrans flooding the tournaments in 2011-2012 since it would be all terran, but as time went on, I became more grateful that they were around because without them, both EU and America would probably be nothing but toss and zerg. I don't think people appreciate how stale tournaments would have gotten without the Korean terran in the past year and a half.
