It's not like he isn't getting paid for his time by 300/600$. 300$ for playing 1-2 hours is pretty decent pay I guess. And the tourney gets games/viewers, that generate this money by ads/sponsoring. So there is a problem when a player just decreases the games being played. I don't think ESL or Dreamhack would allow this. They would laugh at the player trying to change the format only because he likes so. But whatever... 1st off, he said he doesn't give a shit about the money, he just feels that third place matches in general are bad. You may or may not agree with this, either way it's irrelevant, just as irrelevant as the money is to him. 2nd off, the reason why your post is lol-worthy, is because you're misdirecting your whining at MajOr instead of the admins. It was the admins' decision whether to allow for a 3rd place match to be played as a Bo3, try to convince MajOr to play it as a Bo5, or have it not played at all and give StarDust the default win. And since they are the ones who made the decision, it is them you should complain to. (Actually I'd rather you didn't, because your points are asinine and irrelevant and it just feels like you're whining for the sake of whining, because you haven't had your daily dose of eSports drama today) And to compare this small online event that only exists because of some people's passion and dedication, to something like IEM or DreamHack is mind-boggling and beyond ridiculous. I'll stop responding to you now, so don't bother writing a 9001 word wall of text about how we need "eSports" to become more "professional" if we want "eSports to grow". I swear I'm starting to feel for Plansix more and more when I see people like you just waiting for the smallest opportunity to shit on everyone's fun with irrelevant bullshit and hamfisted opinions that they present as objective truth and a golden standard that everyone should adhere to. -_- If you don't like it, just don't watch, go away and don't post here either.

Not many I think (including me, my experience in football). It's not about the question whether 3rd/4th or not; it is about admins > players. And professionalism in "e-sports".

I never wrote a wall of text, unlike you. But I won't bother trying to find out. ![]() Maybe you mean somebody else. Whatever. Let's just enjoy the games! Gogo Vortix!

And I think it builds hype before the finals, or at the very least some people might use it as a break. I believe it does the opposite. It decreases the hype, that's why most of the time there are less people who watch the third place match than the semifinals. It's ok for the World Cup because it allows teams to field players who didn't play much during the tournament but in SC2 when it's played right after the player is eliminated, I don't find it interesting.

So complain to them if you want to complain. ^^ And the fact that you did post "professionalism in esports" right before that just proves my point and makes this all the more hilarious. I wonder if you even watch this game at all, or just come in like a starving buzzard whenever there's potential drama afoot? ^^

I have not thought about the applauses but Vasa usually plays an applause track after a game. Don't know if he has in this event though.

I don't expect anything; just wondered if they have like a WCS EU-ESL style studio going on or if there is a stage. My knowledge of the Italian scene is non-existant. : /
