It will be a big finger to IEM's policy which I hate so much. Lol@ thinking they would say it openly. sadly no public announcement = no fun. I want to see people raging and saying them having no " sportsmanship". I don't care tbh, Esports is entertainment first, it's a little like WWE. The show must go on. Let people think what they will, stuff like this usually leaks out sooner or later. It's never been leaked before, so I don't know why it would start now. especially if it's between two players on kespa teams that are basically unreachable for most of the year to western journalists. Doesn't matter in the end. I daresay almost everyone has made up their minds already. The only purpose of a leak for me would be the amusement from watching the fallout.

Didn't carmac say, when he announced this format, that players making agreements about the prizemoney beforehand would not be punished and indeed he was very curious to see how it would turn out?

BTW that zvz finals between sniper and hyun was legitimately a great finals.
Doesn't really matter. People already made their choices. I'm just a bit sad because people will not remember this event as what IEM wanted it to be. The big tension of the winner take all format isn't really there because :
- No fan favorite in the finals - None of them is the type to refuse to split, so we're pretty sure it's gonna be split.
I don't mind PvP, I mind who are the players playing it in the context of this event. Put Parting or MC instead of one of them and it suddenly become something a lot more people would watch.

They have no legal ground to punish anyone for doing it so it's a pretty empty statement. I guess they could ban them from IEM, but that would be a shitstorm no one wants or needs. It happens all the time in esports, it's just the way it is.

They're Kespa players, seems pretty obvious to me.

No horse in the race... just hope to see some classic starcraft 2 played

Both of them are awesome individuals, very nice and entertaining. Either of them can win, i'll be happy.
Go and produce nice games that's all we ask !

I wanted to do my leg workout today. But then i didn't feel like it. Probably not the only one who skipped leg day.

Yes, carmac said he expected it to happen and didn't care iirc.

And then Hearthstone after SC2 (maybe it starts during SC2 but it is PvP) for an exciting conclusion!

oh boy... that whole "lets hype the grand finals by a winner takes all, 2nd to 16th get jackshit"-thing could have worked, but IEM's concept got brutally denied by protoss...
if at least a fan favourite like mc was in it... i absolutely dont like sos and if there is one guy i couldnt care less about, its probably herO.
i predict this thread to not exceed 20 pages. and half of them will be "lol, not gonna watch" posts....

If I was sOs, I'd call Stork for some pointers.

By far the best Tosses atm. Both in Ro8 in gsl and both best player in their respected team in Proleague (yepp sOs > Maru). Gonna be a good one!
