It's not like mvp was ever really known for being mechanically gifted (yes he could pull off what he needed to but he was no innovation). I think this is revisionary. Remember, MVP first came on the scene January of the first Code S, and at the time he looked like the future of Terran, with incredible mechanics across the board, micro, macro, multitasking. I still remember pretty vividly him losing a Code S series TvZ in like the quarters against...I don't remember exactly, but a pretty high-profile zerg at the time...where his marine splitting was at least as good as anything we'd seen out of MKP at the time. EDIT: liquipedia says most of this was wrong. I think I was thinking of his loss to Zenio in GSL Open season 2. In any case, I think MVP, very early in his career, was very much known for his mechanics.

Not so sure about that, before the ace match MKP and Creator went together in a corner and started chatting i think they took this decision together. IMHO Gerrard asked them to choose which one of them would prefer to play and MKP felt confident he could win. Gerrard usually always choose the safest option and im surprised he didnt sent Creator who had a better shot at winning the Ace match, but then again if MKP won this he would really have been back in full force and feeling really confident which would have been great for the team. Even tho he made several decisions that are more than questionable against Rain i think he showed that he can play macro games, he just need to have better decision making about when to attack and pull back from a fight and he could be back in tip top shape.

Still can't stand Creator, nothing against him personally, but something about him just makes me want to root against him and he's really shoving it back in my face this round for putting him on my anti-team haha Stats is the chin toss. Classic was Terran last season,

Well he understands the game a lot better than some casters (Khaldor and Husky I'm giving you two the look of death). But maybe we're all wrong about Wolf. Maybe, just maybe, it was all planned. Maybe he knew MKP was dead long before the fights happened the instant he saw MKP's army walk to the right of his third instead of down his natural. Maybe, he knew the fight would've gone horribly wrong and made all the wrong calls in a hyped up voice to make the game seem closer than it actually was for the non-playing viewers, so that they'd be on the edge of their seats the entire time. Maybe, just maybe, Wolf makes all the right mistakes for the sake of eSports. Maybe, just maybe, he's NesTea's right hand man, making him the second most powerful human on Earth. Maybe NesTea said, "Make all the wrong calls during fights Wolf, and the viewers who don't play the game, and therefore the ones who can't call fights for shit, will believe a forgone conclusion is actually sitting on a knife's edge, and they will enjoy even the worst games of Starcraft." Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Maybe Wolf's just got too much hype train from being with Khaldor all the time and lost his ability to count important units as a result. The problem wasn't WHEN to attack. The timings were good. The problem was WHERE. He chose the wrong choke to engage in, and that gave Rain a sick defensive advantage. Had he chose to attack from the left of Rain's 3rd (or better yet, to split up the army between both chokes and flank Rain's army), he would've easily won.

And now I can't even trade him because Creator is #1 ranked player LOL. My luck with Anti is just horrible Same for me... I picked him for R1 because I though he would loose to Super (and because Prime was supposed to lose 0-3), but Super screwed up badly in this game and now, I can't even trade Creator...

Been there before D: I had Byul on my anti thinking there was no way he'd beat Rain one week...that didn't work. So then I had to get him off (felt bad having him on anyway) with Maru thinking I was good because DRG would totally own him...then he 6 pool throws and Maru wins that AND an ace match... r1 sucked.
