Agreed on Idra, never on Naniwa

Naniwa was the best foreigner in November-December 2013 at the least

Since when does that count as a period of dominance? especially since he was never the best because of his awesome skill, but rather because there was just noone except scarlett do ever challenge him. the jinro/idra/huk/stephano times are basically over. naniwa can't fill the gap.

Yet he's gone much farther than Stephano in the GSL, multiple times, and that weighs a lot when you talk about "Best foreigner". And IMO, he's been "higher" than Idra and Huk :/

He can definitely fill the gap, even widening it. Deal with it.

are you trying to compare naniwa to stephano, the difference in success is clear to see, naniwa had easy runs in code s also.

And Stephano didn't have a run at all

no because during that stretch Polt was considered an american hero.

That was before november- in november blizzcon turned everyone except naniwa into a korean

naniwa is way overrated, but he has that market value eg's interested in.

The thing with Naniwa is that his performances go up and down rapidly. He's not overrated all the time, when he's on his game he's a really good player no matter who you compare him to, but when he's not - and that happens frequently, I'd agree with him being overrated. The problem is that it's impossible to tell ahead of time which Naniwa will show up. Saying that he's "overrated" oversimplifies things.

So basically, you're saying "Naniwa is a good player because he's so inconsistent he's actually sometimes good!"?

Lol Never? Really who had better results as a foreigner than NaNiwa at all last year? Not to mention he absolutely crushed Scarlett in the show match, and consistently gets better results. So really you're just an idiot.

You're awfully abrasive and sometimes hyperbolic in your posts

I dont know why I bother to post to you, I know it is pointless. Result wise Naniwa is objectively the best foreign player in HotS, it does not matter if you look at aligulac ranking, WCS points or prize earnings, they all state Naniwa, with a large margin i might add.

Problem is that you dont like him which inhibit your analytical ability on this matter.

Got him wrong then, but I'm in full "fuck Naniwa"-mode currently, so I might not be accountable

Edit: pretty much this:

Every time a Scarlett/Naniwa/Stephano LR thread ends I always have the mental image of Michael Jackson's "Beat It" video. It's rather amusing how fanatical people get.

Agreed on Idra, never on Naniwa

Naniwa was the best foreigner in November-December 2013 at the least

no because during that stretch Polt was considered an american hero.

Actually, that's exactly what he didn't say.

Got him wrong then, but I'm in full "fuck Naniwa"-mode currently, so I might not be accountable

Edit: pretty much this:

I dont know why I bother to post to you, I know it is pointless. Resultwise Naniwa is objectively the best foreign player in HotS, it does not matter if you look at aligulac ranking, WCS points or prize earnings, they all state Naniwa, with a large margin i might add.

Problem is that you dont like him which inhibited your analytical ability on this matter.

Ok good, so you're basically admitting to being completely wrong and just trolling. Glad this is over.

Woops

He did. 0-2 Bogus, 2-0 Hack, 1-2 Bogus.

His runs in Code S were:
First time: beating Puzzle, Ryung, Genius, Virus, losing to eventual champion Mvp.
2nd time: losing to Creator, beating theStC, Creator, losing to Genius, beating Keen, Genius, losing to DRG 2-3

Those names don't seem that awesome now but at the time those were pretty darn good runs.
