No one spoke english. Luckily I had just come off three years of german classes so I didn't mind, but it still blew my mind. Italy was the same way, every official sign in english had grammar and spelling mistakes that would embarrass a third grader, and horrible syntax. Blizzard should move to ban all non-english community casting so these atrocities can one day stop. English needs to be the official world language, and Starcraft will be the catalyst to make that happen. All other languages are stupid and wrong anyway. May I suggest that we keep Swedish for the fantasy genre as it makes for a better read. Well except for Pratchett as the humor and play on words doesn't translate that well. Or we just ban english "humor". Or Pratchett. Fantasy shouldn't be funny anyway. Only macho. But elvish language quenya had major finnish influence

Still it's true. 99% of fantasy worlds/settings are incestuous and derivative of others (usually Tolkien) so.... it got boring infinitely fast. Steven Erikson and the lamentably unheralded Ian Esslemont have created imo the best and most interesting fantasy world to date. I know GoT is all the rage, but the Malazan world is the crowning achievement of modern fantasy for me.

I don't know why that's happening as often as it does. If two tournaments take place at the same time, the races seem to be distributed quite badly to these two tournaments, for whatever reason. Well technically ASUS ROG had a superb Terran as well in Taeja, nobody could have known that he would show up in a "I don't give a fuck" mood throwing games left and right. Honestly there were three Korean terrans (Taeja, Apocalypse, ForGG) at ASUS and 4 at IEM (Polt, Bomber, Bbyong, Jjakji) the terran lineup is a little stronger at IEM sure but it isn't that imbalanced. Taeja probably should have advanced. Polt, Bomber, Bbyong and Jjakji are all Code S caliber (Arguably Jjakji isn't, but technically he had a spot for the upcoming Code S season :-P ). I don't think the same can be said about Apoc and ForGG (Even though ForGG is really impressive right now, didn't really expect that). Which leaves Taeja... ... and I think everything's said about Taeja at this tournament :-/ Completely agree. I think Jjakji is code S caliber along with those other three, so 4 code S terrans at IEM really. The terran lineup is pretty weak at ASUS in comparison, but at least ForGG is playing well! u guys understand that Taeja had a really bad day?? show some respect. He was the best player in the world last week , his offrace is code s caliber. He just does not feel good atm, it happens to everyone.

So many idle SCVs hanging out by bunkers though.

Ok I understand that Taeja is an excellent player, and you don't have to come into a thread and defend him with your life or anything.

Apoc played a bit too safe I think

Well this frustrates me so much. You get ahead, need to overcommit on defense then can't even counter attack. Suddenly you are behind the protoss and it goes downfall from that.
