The quote is meant to seem edgy and cool, for opening a post with a quote. For the past year and a half, we've helped funnel money to the hands of players through awesome Starcraft 2 events. I didn't even know there was a BaseTradeTV wiki page until recently, but after looking at it I realized just how much sweet sweet cash-money we've put up for prizes (A little over $3,000 as of the time of this post).
We've always raised money for a new show match ahead of time, or had a donor/sponsor ask to be involved, but it's always been handled in private. I'd like to think that with our credibility at this point, we can start making this something more public with people trusting we won't be mishandling their contributions, thus the funds will stay reserved until we can pay out at the MONEY PEAK.
There's a full explanation of everything at the bottom of this post, keeping this part near the top for easy access. To donate to the corresponding match just click the image link to be taken directly to paypal. Please be aware paypal charges a small fee if you are using a credit card to donate (Disclaimer: None of the funds gathered here will go towards anything except what they are donated to, and please do not donate if you don't have disposable income in the first place, there are no refunds. That means your $5 donation will sit in it's section until the requirement is met)

At the moment of this post going live, if you'd like to try setting up a KOTH Match it's not out of the question, but we're not looking to immediately host one. Just leave a note if you'd like us to ask someone to partake. No promises but we can always try!
**Events will be hosted and cast by members of BaseTradeTV and will try to cater the events to the time zones of the players/teams involved.
Through our experience messaging players, hosting show matches, running and casting events, we've gotten a pretty good "feel" for what is worth what value when it comes to pitting your favourite SC2 players against one another, and have decided to start up a Team Liquid version of a kickstarter for future events. Below I've listed some rough bare minimums for what quality players are typically willing to play for.
THE SHOW MATCHES: Here's an average breakdown of what most players tend to agree is fair for event hosting (most typically having a 75%-25% prize split)
BO3: $50 PRIZE
BO5: $50 - $100
BO7+: $100 - $150+
THE TOURNAMENTS: Here's an average breakdown of what most players tend to agree is fair for event hosting (Often, if not always a prize for second place):
OPEN BRACKETS(Any league): Any prize value including/over 50$
OPEN BRACKETS(Masters+): Any prize value including/over $100
THE KING OF THE HILL: This one is a bit fickle, as the value per round will usually denote whether it's "worth" a player's time or not.
4 Rounds x BO3: $10 - $50 per round
4 Rounds x BO5: $50 per round (Final round being worth more than regular rounds)
Now, I'm not saying the above is explicit or particular to any one player, as some of your favourites require a lot more, or a lot less, depending on their perception of the event.
