There was a massive skill gap in the IEM New York games.

You are a massive skill gap

Oh look, an angry Swedish fanboy.

You make make it sounds like there was some kind of massive skill gap. I like Life, and I know that he was the better player, but we're talking about 4-2 here with some pretty close games

Life threw away won of them with cocky manner hatchs (and same for the Whirlwind one, he tried again to be cute with that). The Yeonsu one, he had the advantage but inexplicably stayed on Lair for too long, allowing Naniwa to gather his dream army and steamroll him. Yes, it was pretty clear to me that Life was far superior. That's actually good for Naniwa because Life might again throw away won games because of his overconfidence.

I don't care if Life looses games because of overconfidence, or under-confidence. If Naniwa takes it now, he is the better player

No

I hope you cry hard today ;-)

I'll write another, less factually correct, Naniwa article if he somehow pulls out a win here, I promise

Underdog ? lol

Sorry JD isn't top tier when you consider how some players smack him down ez from time to time.

From time to time in the finals? Like srsly how dumb is your comment, being in so many finals this year clearly isn't worth anything right, people tend to post more nonsense from day to day...

Isn't worth anything when you don't win and get rolled like you're being sent back to code b.

Yeah i guess every player that didn't win a tournament in 2013 should retire cause even 2nd place is worth nothing these days, srsly it hurts my brain reading this bs

It hurts my brains how someone gets such ridiculous hype while not being top tier in sc2. Also all the stupid sheep spamming is causing cell death.

Pls enlighten me (us) then what a player has to do to be top tier in sc2? How many tournament wins do you need? Is ONE enough even if you don't reach the ro4 again? Pls i am curious what your next comedy post will be

Plz I can't help that you'e a butt hurt JD fan. I can clearly tell while looking at games especially tvz how good some one is and jeadong is nothing like pre patch soulkey of life before his slump.

Top tier player doesnt mean "players in their ELO peak"

It keeps getting better.

Top 3 are Soulkey, Jaedong and Life in no order. DRG, Leenock and Scarlett can't compare to them this year.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

Are you being serious?

had he actually won all the tournaments he came 2nd in, people would have been throwing the B word around.

Of course he is top tier, he is arguably the most consistent player of the year

I'd say that Innovation has been best terran in the world for 2013, but I do not think we have such a clear thing for zerg and protoss. soulkey/jaedong, sOs? though I don't think that there's a protoss around who was dominating over a larger period, or was there?

Soulkey and Dear for me. There is a lot of civil war going on though.

Also Taeja has been better than Innovation. :-)

He probably forgot after Soulkey and Life... so he just googled "SC2 zergs" and found those.

I'm surprised he didnt put Stephano in his list really.

How the fuck is DRG ahead of HyuN in the top 5 lol
