Nope, he's still out if Byul or Trap wins.

Thank god for Soulkey curse.

If ByuL or Trap wins... the entire tournament? Or just makes it to the finals over Soulkey?

In my opinion Trap has like a 30% chance of winning the whole thing, Byul is probably around 10%

Thank god for Soulkey curse.

We are not set on it working outside of GSL and WCS KR though. It worked with MC, but kinda incorrectly.

Well, if he is beaten here, the curse will suffer the ultimate test!

Soulkey curse means that even if ByuL or Trap beat Soulkey in semis, they will lose in finals anyways.
That's pretty much how all tournaments Soulkey was in work ever since GSL 2012 S5.

Everyone's excited that we might have a foreigner at the biggest SC2 event, so why wouldn't we talk about it? It's the most interesting story during this tournament and if he makes it, Blizzcon will be so much more fun to watch for most players and most likely have 20k more viewers than if he doesn't.

There is probably as many people who dislike Naniwa as those who like him. So you are not speaking on behalf on everyone. But regardless of that, this is a LR thread for a tournament Naniwa isn't even in, so I agree with anyone who finds constant Naniwa chance speculation irritating.

Naniwa is guaranteed to be out. Revival will get 25 points in his challenger league and take Nani spot due to tie breaker.

If you have questions about how Naniwa can make Blizzcon, you can read back because someone summarizes it on every page. Or read the Blizzcon qualification probabilities thread, here

Every time Naniwa wins, there are tons of people expressing "how they don't like him blah blah blah", instead of talking about the actual games. We have to stand it. Now, you can stand the fact that, chances are, we will have a one SINGLE foreigner in the WCS Global Final. There are many people who care about that.

Ironically Soulkey never got 2nd place in tournament, so we do not know how it works when he meets the winner of tournament.

The problem is the foreigner in question is about as popular as a good dose of the clap to half the community

That fact says more about the community than it does about the foreigner in question.

Agreed with the above. Because Idra was so universally loved by the community, right? It's funny that popularity doesn't necessarily correspond to how lovable a player is. People may hate Naniwa, but they'll watch him because they hate him.

But...but who is supposed to win then in the Trap vs. Byul series?!

they can't win the whole thing

I am aware, thanks

Actually the most interesting story in this tournament is the players in it trying to win it.

Yeah, well, that's just like, your opinion man.

It's incredibly stupid that we have an SC2 tournament happening and people only care about the next one.

I think it really ties the tournament together.

lol I like what you did there.
