I live in Australia...pulled an all nighter to watch all the games - but fell asleep on the couch at 730 am and missed Dear v Maru and Trap v Soulkey.
Watched the vods today...my GoD!!~~ Yes Dear v Maru g1 and g4 were beautiful...
Before Dear 99% of TOss players would lose after they lost their 3rd nexus....but Dear defends with such tenacity and punishing damage that to take his 3rd means incurring massive losses. This happened in both Maru v Dear and Soulkey v Dear and Dear still won those games...
Taking GSL and WCS Finals...is just incredible!!~~ Really really next level play.
Not to mention the zealot drops/storm drops employed by Dear - meag effective and always timed to perfection.

One can say that Dear had SouL in his wins.

I overheard a few people talking about Protoss and I actually had to cut them off and tried to point some stuff out to them. I don't let things like that slide. Haha, next you're going to tell us you feel persecuted.
Nah, man. It's all about the approach. ;>

I have no idea how Dear won the finals. He looked like he was losing for the most part of those games. I have noticed that with other players I think: "attack now and win!", but they never attack. With Dear, it's the opposite he attacks, and is succesful and I go: "how did that work". It's as if he is playing with a map hack. His game sense and micro is just unbelivable.
I loved how he in one game put himself in the middle of a surround, but force fielded off one part of the zerg army, and crushed the other parts. I don't think any other Protoss could have microed that battle correctly.

About the P dislike in the crowd: IDK I disagree. I was yelling that stuff all the time when recalls and force fields and etc were happening, but I play protoss and don't actually think any of it was OP, just having fun at the finals haha A lot (majority) of ppl would just cheer for anything that happened lmao
With that said, Maru and Soulkey def had more support behind them, but that's just cuz Dear and Trap are kind of unknowns before, nothing to do with P lol

I don't know if it's anti-Toss sentiment as much as it is Dear and Trap just not being that well known in the foreign scene. If it was MC in the finals I guarantee you the crowd would be going wild whenever he did something cool.
