I was wondering where all the STX fans were in Toronto as well. They just didn't make a lot of noise for them during the matches. The Maru and Soulkey chants were much, much louder and frequent. I guess Torontonians don't like Protoss as much as the rest atm. Ha ha ha ;p

That's always been true on the BW forums. We know there are a few JulyZerg fans (for when he was there), Calm probably had the most fans, ToSsGirL had somewhat of a following, some people felt mini would be their next breakout star (in BW). I know a few guys thought Dear would win a major because he managed to break Flash's PL winning streak, but in terms of star power in BW STX was meh. No point commentating on the turn in SC2.

Oh shit. Yeah, Kal had a good following too. HUE. I'd still say Calm was their franchise player in the BW days though. Kal is definitely right up there.

Sad that Polt and Jaedong didn't do better in their group stages. Maru going boss mode and Dear with the incredible blocks, those were sick games. WCS to western Canada in 2014!

There is a lot of unrest over the dropping player and viewer-numbers (though if you think SC2 is dying, you haven't seen a dying game), but I quite like that the community has shrunk a bit. It seems everything has mellowed out. Less drama, less hysterics. And still a lot of great people around. Blizzcon is gonna be great! There has definitely been a shape up in the community. I really enjoyed dipping in the threads all weekend and had fun watching the games. And 66k viewers live is nothing to scoff at. That's a large amount of people no matter what someone tells you.

Ha ha ha ;p I guess our cheering didn't come through very well on stream, because we were cheering for Dear A LOT. One time after a SoulKey chant finished we started going "Dear is better" On October 29 2013 04:24 BlueStar wrote: And would be great if someone from NASL bothers to upload the VODs from the final. T_T Always could watch VODs on Twitch, also they haven't quite got the venue packed up yet ;p Cut them a little slack.
