And people wonder why Naniwa fans are viewed as so obnoxious. LOL. Bias much? These polls just turn into a 'was the result what I wanted' poll. Just like how people misuse the upvote and downvote button on Reddit to express agreement/disagreement. Not sure there's any point in these polls myself. Go take a walk or something, it's embarrassing how salty and childish you're acting.

Really bad comparison... but other than that indeed - RTS esports basically is SC2.

This. Exactly what I was trying to express but you put it better.

User was warned for this post Naniwa is the only reason why I (and i believe many others) am watching this tournament today.
Yes, you are correct. Naniwa haters suck no less than Naniwa's rage.

no there are openings that do alright vs. pretty much anything.

how was the games ?
naniwa vs curious ! would be awesome First 2 games were complete Hyun dominance and it looked like an easy 3-0 for him.
Then Naniwa got some superpowers.

naniwa vs curious ! would be awesome Hyun crushed two greedy strats by Nani in games 1 and 2. Nani hit with a bunch of blink stalkers and won game 3. Game 4 was Nani catching Hyun off guard with DT's then transitioning into VR's/Archons for the eventually win. Game 5 was proxy 2 gate in Hyun's main and Hyun went for 3 hatch before pool so you can tell where that ended up.

I wonder if someone like Jim from China had gotten to the finals, whether he'd be cheered as much, being just as foreign as Naniwa to Korea. Foreigner hype usually lead to ugly bias. At least this time there is a good reason for it.

And people wonder why Naniwa fans are viewed as so obnoxious. Maybe because game 5 was the clutch game of the series and decided on a high risk balls of steel move, whereas games 1 and 2 were the first two games of the series, thereby much less tense and anyway not very dramatic in the way they played out?
Congrats on winning the #1 Bitter Post of Thread award.

Well, even as a Naniwa fan I have to admit that he is absolutely right about the polls. While I loved watching game 5, it is not objectively "one of the best games I've seen". It was a good game in context of the series (abusing your opponents greed), not more.

Well, let's be honest, for an European friendly time tournament, with a foreigner fan favorite in final, and loveable koreans, the viewership is quite low.

Not really, if you play safe and they play greedy they get an edge but it's not even remotely game deciding. Most games aren't coin flips. BW had the same dynamic.
