Mvp, a player you seem to be inferring "brings the average skill down", did pretty good against the player who was the best in the world at that point. Taking top four says a lot. Well... did you see Mvps recent success in WCS EU? Please don't tell me he is a top player anymore. Not to make excuses, but I'm pretty sure he plays those online group stage from KR? He does. I think. He lost to Dimaga season 1 online, then stomped him live, so it's hard to draw a lot from KR > EU lag.

Cella beat Hurricane 2-0 yesterday in the DH qualifier. Lag is definitely a viable excuse.
Also yes, Mvp played those from Korea

I suppose I can't blame you white people for not being able to tell Asians apart
It's still sad though because progamers look nothing alike

Mvp's only appearance in the season finals, he certainly didn't bring the average skill down. He's not there now, so I'm not sure why he'd be mentioned in regards to that. EDIT: Oooohh shit, yeah nah you mean Blizzcon hey? Yeah, shit I dunno. Fuck oath, won't be his best showing mate. At the same time, he's Mvp so I hold out hope he's found something new imba to exploit. Can't count him out, really. ROFL that edit is the most Australian sentence I've seen you say AHA, I have a habit of going full bogan when I'm sleepy. S'not good, hey. xD

Thanks to sc2 I can now tell 300+ Korean players and coaches/personalities apart at a glance. Thanks GSL!

It's still sad though because progamers look nothing alike I'm asian so I'm allowed to say the occasional player looks the same as another player when they do, right? I mean.. Keen and soO look pretty similar, front on. Or maybe it was just that one picture. I dunno.

Really? Noooo ups sorry, winning gsl is 1500 points right ? and the season final is 3000, if this is true, my previous statement is not ture, sorry for that If soo wins this GSL he's at 2800 I believe. Which is still 75 below Naniwa. Dear is even lower.
Of course this is if Soo/Dear drops out early in Season Finals. If Soo goes to Ro8 he's pretty much guaranteed a spot. Dear is a bit less certain, he'll probably need a final to be safe.
Naniwa still has a shot at point at IEm as well though, but today's results certainly didn't help his chances
edit: I still think Naniwa's best chance is getting to the fianls at IEM and jumping above Revival. If Trap/Soo/Dear/(Vortix) make a Season final top2 they are gonna jump way up into the top16 so hugging the last spot now is useless.

Even then. Yes he can ofc beat top players in top tournaments but not because of amazing skill at the game but rather because he is so good at not getting nerve issues (no pun intended lol). Even when he was back in KR he didn't really impress, did he?
Look I am not saying that Mvp is bad or anything, I am just saying that he is not in the top 16 players in the world. Out of the regions other than KR probably only Taeja and maybe JD and MMA are.

But as far as builds, strength of will and mind games go? I absolutely rate him in the top 16.

If you put those up there you'd have to have HerO there too. I don't think a Top 16 is that easy to pick though. At the absolute top level everybody can beat everybody. HerO went 3-2 against Maru recently after being 2-0 up, he'd have been done with him in a GSL group stage format after the first 2 games. I don't think Bo3s necessarily show the better player (at least not as clearly as the result of the series indicates) and with the amount that some players (especially Kespa pros) play it can be really hard to tell how good they are.

He really needs aleast a top 4 finish to probably have a chance of BlizzCon in the end. He isn't out of the race, but if I would guess I think he's got like a 10% chance right now(getting more IEM points increases the chance ofc).
I'ts only a bonus if he makes it. He screwed up in Ro32 and he knows it.

So, were the games in Soulkey vs soO good or Soulkey played like mid master level player? Yes, i am shocked, but it makes sense cause Artosis. And ofc congratulations to Dear for winning GSL finals, since as we all know the guy who beats Soulkey at GSL loses next round.

This Finals could be uninteresting to most of you but remember Soo eliminated Bomber, Innovation, Parting and Soulkey himself, while Dear beat DRG and Maru. They may be boring players but they definitely deserve to be in this final and didn't just luck out and avoided the favorites in the brackets. They played straight up better than those who have some "story" in them and looked like this season's potential champion before these 2 beat them. I'm just glad we got the 2 better players in the Finals .

First two games were KR GM, last game was a ling/bane all-in vs. Soulkey not walling in time.
