She could've made the finals great, but alas. ZvZ would be better than ZvT? You mad. Games would've probably been closer and the storyline of foreigner in the finals would've made it much better for me at least. Old story: they should have trained harder and played better. Scarlett might be the second best player in the world. She barely lost to Bomber. I wish we could see her play Taeja. taeja is a lot better than bomber at TvZ. would've most likely been a lot less close than bomber vs scarlett

Especially since she demonstrated the skill in her best matchup.

While that is all true, think of some of the amazing moments we've had with people being jumping around in excitment and some even teary-eyed, and he comes this guy and he barely manages to crack a smile. I don't think I have ever seen a champion care this little in any sport for that matter. Not even on an amature level.
But yeah, I'm probably exaggerating abit. Of course he cares (abit, I guess :p ) I just wish he would show it.

Well Played Bomber. Truly world champion.
Sorry JaeDong, maybe next time

they're not there to dance for your amusement
To most people sports are simply entertainment. It's value as entertainment is what makes it viable to even BE a professional.
That being said, today was not very entertaining and I kind of regret waking up early to watch. But I suppose any given sporting event has the potential to be boring.

Anyway, shitty as fuck finals.

Imo the next months power rank should reflect that.

Alright, this was a great tournament, well done by ESL. Too bad that finals were that one-sided, sorry, that's how the brackets aligned and bomber simply played better.
I've had a lot of good time watching these games and I'm looking forward to season three.

Do you believe Bomber ist he best player in the world? :x Not to mention that a close-loss to him doesn't make you second best in the world... Taeja also lost close to him. Also 2nd best? :x There probably isn't a best player right now. A while ago it was sort of clear it's Innovation, but right now... too random.

It's too bad that JD seems to focus on select matchups

People like to jump the gun after watching only one series and then compare results to other series. You know how it goes ;/ All that stuff is just fishing for crapola.

Symbol, Roro, Soulkeys... Roach bann ling agression/all ins are kinda... "not interesting games" as much as "22 kicks in, 33 kicks in"...

You mad. scarlett vs jaedong would have been better than jaedong vs bomber, yes, by a lot. they already played a series and it was great so... yep almost nothing could have been worse than this Like Scarlett would have won Taeja anyway.

Congrats Bomber, although I am rooting for JD you are also so deserving...

Great event. We saw so many amazing games. The final was very one sided, yes, but before that we had so many series that went down to the wire. Taeja vs Innovation, JD vs MC, Bomber vs Scarlett, First vs alive, Bomber vs Taeja.. too many to remember them all. The overall quality of play was through the roof as we should expect, but you have to consider, that through the qualification system, we might get a very uneven player pool. But this was not the case at all. Players from all 3 regions showed, that they can compete here. Production was just the best you could hope for. ESL did a fantastic job. NO real delays ever, very very smooth run through the tournament and just the best staff you could ask for. Redeye and Chobra did just an awesome job as host/(translator) and the commentator team with artosis, kaelaris, apollo, ToD and Rotterdam ist just the best of the best we have in SC2. ESL did a perfect job in picking those persons together. It was an absolutely awesome weekend, thank you very much ESL for that. And with Bomber winning it... When he came through Code A in GSL May 2011, he was considered THE best player in the world after his smooth win over MVP. Then he won an MLG, which was not that big of a deal back then. And after that came disappointment after disappointment. He became a low Code S regular. He was promised to be the best, but allways fell apart when it mattered. That this has finally come to an end here, makes me so happy for him. He is such a nice and funny character. There is noone more deserving this! Congratulations Bomber!

She's good, but IMHO, she isn't flexible enough. I have a feeling that if Bomber had actually pulled out that triple bunker on her on Planet S, she'd have gone down just as quickly, if not worse than Jaedong (ok fine, it's hard to screw up worse than sitting your 5 range queens on low ground). And she keeps letting hellion packs in. What she does seem to have are stellar mechanics and a pretty good knack for picking engagements.

Even Scarlett fell to Bomber with superior ZvT.
Bomber is just a beast. Though, any of Bomber, Taeja, Polt, Innovation would have decimated both Zergs IMO.
