This sucks... as soon as duckdeok won i closed the twitch.tv tab. A random korean winning an EUROPEAN fan favorite in a tournament made for Europeans, not really worth watching this anymore. At least i hope MC wins otherwise it's double the disappointment, but i won't be watching it anyway.

Drama aside it's not really "unfounded and unreasonable". I say that proper earmuffs is not enough to cancel without a booth and Grubby is not even wearing bad ones, he's wearing headphones for audio.

A shame Grubby didn't take it but I think Duckdeok was just playing slightly better in the series (if you look past the luck either player gets through build orders). The fact that he was almost able to come back on that Red City game when Grubby was way ahead is a good example of that.

So many people being upset is fully understandable, on the other hand them blaming Blizzard, Korea or playstyles is not. Duckdeok is an aggressive player and I personally enjoyed the WCS regional finals very much. PvP has become a match up that you can actually watch and thats very tense.
I was cheering for Grubby and obviously I'm a bit sad that neither Naniwa, HasuObs nor Grubby made it to the finals, but thats the life of a progamer. Now we got MC vs duckdeok which should be entertaining as well. Don't understand the hate towards Korea or duckdeok by any means. People that hate now should leave the scene, because they really are not needed.

Cool more korean vs korean matches in the EU region and the final is a PvP anyways. Frees up more time to watch football today
The regional finals will bomb so hard in viewership after round 1, season 2 WCS EU took a pretty big hit already.

It is not exactly unheard of that players do not read rules, especially the fine print when it comes to equipment. It may just be ignorance. It may also just be that whatever sponsored headset Lucifron gets through mouz does not provide adequate sound proofing so he was told that he was not allowed to use that one.
Do you really think ESL are stupid enough not to test the headsets or knowingly give Grubby license to cheat and broadcast it all the time on camera? I hope not.
