Kespa players weren't here when all those kind of builds were standard in TvT, basically at the same period of the Slayers's blue flame MLG party. A lot of elevator play etc, but at the end these just became openings and they lead to standard game. Game 7 sealed the deal 4 hellions 6 marines 1 medivac vs 4 hellions 6 marines 1 medivac (and quickly 6 hellions for Innovation), outmicro happen and suddenly there's nothing left for Innovation while Maru still has nearly everything =D At least if we have Maru vs Bomer we can be sure Bomer won't just die like this.
Can we? Didn't Symbol repeatedly crush him with roach bane all-ins last season? Or someone at least. Maybe he's different in TvZ but I feel like if anyone was susceptible to cheese, it would probably be bomber

he deserves a lot of praise. you cannot literally win them all, and after the first 2 games and then especially the 3rd, he was clearly tilted.

I would say, Bomber is the clear favorite against Rain. Bomber's TvP is just something else and Rain already had trouble beating Supernova. I understand, that the Kespa bandwagon now jumps onto Rain as their last hope, but you guys shouldn't bank too much onto him.
I was hoping for a Maru vs Bomber finals at the start of the season, because I like them both very much and they have both looked very strong in the last months. That we're that close to it now is really crazy

I'm so glad to see sharp rushes with perfect execution against early expands, because people should not be able to get away with all these fast ccs without scouting.
Hate that a lot of games start with "no rush 20 min" rule with 4 fast bases.
p.s. And finally poor Prime team got somebody in the finals.

I do have to throw a rock in Blizzard's garden, though. This series showcases why you don't patch often and in the middle of the season. The meta doesn't get time to develop (this was really the first major post-patch TvT series) which leads to a ton of coin-flips (game 2, raven for anti-banshee into dying to a elevator strat) and unseen all-ins (game 1 - oh, is that how many marines you can afford now together with cloak-banshee? Nice to know, Maru.).
As much as people hate the hellbat, this patch should be remembered as one of the worst in history:
1) They didn't test it properly
2) It has a big impact on another MU (TvP)
3) It was done in the middle of the season, leading to terrible series.

You forgot that Rain is a god. If he performs he shouldn't have trouble. Then again nobody knows what Bomber is capable of if he performs.

I don't accept that there wasn't enough time for the players to prep for tvt... they both played in their style, innovation didn't scout much, the outcome is not surprising at all.
innovation made clear decisions in every game that led to losses, but it wasn't because he suddenly doesn't know how to play since the hellbat was nerfed. he didn't have the info and didn't get lucky.

I guess Flash is right, aggression is the name of the game now in TvT.
I have a feeling Bogus might still try to figure out a way to play greed but he'll need to start mixing in some early timings.
