These builds were never truly countered (only response was "try to scout it and start praying if you do") yet they just seemed to fall out of fashion rather than people "figuring" them out
Life kind of figured them out at the end of WoL with his hydra-ling into mutas style.
Also they are not very good against SH play.

Honestly watching curious throw like that, and life play like that I can't feel that genius did something amazing. I guess it's unfortunate when your opponent inexplicably makes mistakes for that reason.

TvT will get better (hopefully)... and TvZ will get worse without the marauder/hellbat thrown in every once in a while. I't's not that bad really - all matchups are "worth the watch". The problem is that as they are getting more predictable the moment when I feel that I've watched enough SC2 for the day comes sooner.
