I remember being annoyed at the observing the first few weeks because of the lack of synergy between the observer and the casters. It seemed like the observer wasn't listening to the casters and so the casters could be talking about something that the observer should "confirm," but the observer wouldn't confirm it. I haven't been paying close attention, but the fact that I'm not as annoyed probably means it's significantly better.

I think I prefer a observer over a caster observing but in WCS EU nobody (especially in these LR threads) actually gave constructive criticism, only complaints, so they are now trying out doing it with Kaelaris as observer. I know the guy who did the observing and I wish they give him so more chances to improve. I'm not complaining here, I think Kaelaris observing is pretty damn good so far. In response to both of these, I really haven't noticed a difference, but observing has to be REALLY bad (like PL observing) for me to start to care. In general, I think it's probably consensus that a dedicated observer is always better than a caster doing it. I feel like it depends on how much I'm actually focusing on the game. Right now I'm mostly posting on TL and editing LP while sort of listening to the game and tuning in when they start yelling. however if it was a GSL finals or I was doing a Live Report, I would care a lot more about obs.

The guy observing during the livestreams for this season was Icicle
Ah ok, thanks. Well I didn't notice any problems with Icicle either then.

I don't feel that it is really smooth today, but you made me look critically now . Camera movements are a bit jerky.

Lucifron making 4 CC's . I love how Lucifron keeps his army outside of the creep almost all the time, very cool.

Luci needs to be more careful with friendly fire on his mines. Hes lost a lot of his army to that several times now.
|
Finally some infestors, he needs to pin down the bio

Bly needs to drop a scan on his keyboard and find the 'g' key.

that was a really good game
