Although Chinese teams still maintain a high level of performance in Dota, the biggest esports game is not longer Dota 2. The most popular one is now LoL rather than Dota 2. BYW, the most popular online game is also LoL in China, just like South Korea.
LoL is open to everyone in China, Dota 2 is not. Dota 2 in china atm is extremely selective and hard to get into. There are several chinese events that have been huge going on so far, so its only due time.
