It really isn't, with championships at stake.

Players have been 2-3 in matches to another player and advanced over them in GSL before.

Both are like the guy that everyone hates but still hast to respect for their skills, and they have a propensity to act all nonchalant like, "F--- you all, I'm just gonna win." X-D Should be a good match. ...no, "everyone" hasn't hated Polt in 2 years.

Say Naniwa does win 2-1 this series, that knocks Polt down to the lower bracket where he would have to play..........Naniwa. Then Naniwa again has to win a series (ie. 4 total wins). that's how i always understood as well Except that if they previously met once, Polt won 2-1, Naniwa winning 1 game knocks Polt down. Instead of 2 games as in a usual Bo3.

The rules? Busy status in-game. I would also assume there's delay in the stream. so long as they in the game itself watching and sending messages (not likely). I guess someone could be watching the feed in another room or something (not likely either). The stream has a delay witch makes it really hard to even try to cheat. Not to talk about if they are caught they can be shunned out of the community

If extended series wasn't in place, we would have the finals being played about a hour ago. Everyone knows that guy who will never admit he's wrong, even if you show him and he realises the best you'll get is "agree to disagree". I think The MLG commissioner is that guy.

I think football kinda does have that in champions league right? play two games with aggregate score? It's not the same thing, thats basically like playing a 180 minute match except you switch stadiums and the players get to rest up half way. Hm using that logic, this is just a bo7 being played over 2 days. Let's just agree that it is stupid without going into detail^^.

In that case they could just add bo5 for semifinals and perhaps bo7 for finals? ![]() I was hoping MLG would do Bo5 semis and Bo7 finals, but I guess being behind 2-X gives the community more to rally around and raise hype for the underdog. And having a rematch adds to the motivation of both players to do their best. But still, I think extended series was the wrong call, but not the worst possible.

Not that I'm in favor of extended series, it's pretty stupid but Polt should have an advantage. This is pretty simple: you lose, you're behind - even if you did not play the guy from the winner's bracket before. If you want to win a tournament - don't lose.
