Yes I also thought he didnt but it seems he got to ro8 back in 2011 where he lost 0-3 to Mvp. But when I think of successful foreigners in GSL I would say Naniwa showed the most. He actually played when game was all figured out and seasons were much tougher than back in 2011
and stay in it on the back of his PvP while he was unable to qualify. Even if the game was wild and Terran probably the best race at that time Jinro did back to back ro4 and qualify legitly at least.

Looks like Snute's stay at the EGTL house has been very productive for him.

Uh... He is still the only foreigner to have climbed from code A to code S, made it through the up downs multiple times, and even earned a qualifying seed for his Orlando victory but he was already in code S so the seed went to the runner up MC. But if you're just blind to all that then so be it.

So you are saying playing WoL in 2011 was more difficult than playing in the last couple of seasons before Hots came out? I am talking about WoL not Hots, I thought that was obvious

2x invited 2x the finals ? Let's not forget he did insanely well last time. But yeah EGTL house sure should help him.

yeah huk was rly good, and was way more complete than naniwa (who's record against Lucky speak for itself :p) still i think that 2 ro4 are better than 2ro16 + a ro8. If we extrapolate about balance Huk have a really legit case tho.

I didn't say that, that was some other guy. What I'm saying is ever since the game has been somewhat figured out towards the end of WoL, the only foreigners really able to consistently compete with koreans are zergs and Naniwa.

You are just splitting hairs. I am pretty sure most people would agree that WoL was for most part figured out in the last couple of seasons of GSL and that competition was much tougher than in the early days
