hey how did life and JD look? I missed the games, i can see they had "easy" players to go against, just wanted a feel of the games.

Life was really good (got a scare from uThermal for a half game but then took over). Dunno about JD.

They both won 6-0, but I'm not sure if many of the games were streamed. Day 1 is pretty difficult to follow in detail : /

Life looked like he always does. Trying to take as much damage as possible early on into winning and making it look easy. If his opening builds worked out better he'd probably be unstoppable in every tournament ever.

Korean on Korean violence?

Yup, there are 13 Koreans attending, I'd say 9-10 are definitely going to playoffs if the next two group stages don't put four of them up against each other.

Hmm, I could easily see Stardust losing, as well as Lucky (due to lack of tournament/jetlag experience). I also think very little of Sting, but pretty much all of those other guys are bulletproof. The only one who wouldn't be is StC, but he always does way better than expected at big bracket LANs.

I'd say at least Daisy, Stardust, StC, Sting, Arthur and Lucky are quite beatable for Europeans but some of them will probably always make it through still.

I think Lucky is better then almost any foreigner attending. Daisy is very underrated as well. Very good PvZ.

Lucky lost to Pig, who is not really the best foreigner attending. I´d extend the original list a bit further, Jaedong and Hyun are definitly beatable for the very top europeans, Hyun for example has a worse-than-50% record against Europeans in Acer teamleague challenge (MaNa, Dayshi, Lucifron, Vortix...). Squirtle might look invincible, but he was also the 98%-favorite to win Iesf and high favorite to win ESWC.
I´d guess we get about 7-8 koreans in the plyoffs and an all korean top 4, but I think some of the weaker ones will get eliminated by foreigners.

Holy crap, Xzibit's X song is playing on stream 1 atm. Bonus points to Dreamhack for selecting a classic. I remember this track from awhile back.

I'd somewhat agree but Lucky already showed weakness against Pig. He'll probably still make playoffs but I won't rule out the possibility of him losing to foreigners when he did that today already.

Daisy is decent but in my opinion he's simply as good as a top 20 foreigner. He can win or lose against any of them, he was in Europe for a very long time and was always solid but rarely exceptional. At least that's how it was, he was in Korea for a while now, maybe he's improved a lot there.

To be fair, his name *IS* craaaaack

Yes, and this coming from a guy who is called "Wafflelisk" and another one named "Emzeeshady". In what pretended fantasy world are those names in any kind more credible than mine? Ought not to throw stones sitting in a glass house, right guys?
▲ I was really thirsty while playing a match. All my teammates were gone, so I drank from the water bottle that was next to me. It was very good. I thank the owner of the bottle.
