I had the alarm at 08:00 here (starts early in EU), and I was about to turn off after game 3, but seeing how devastated Soulkey seemed at end of g3, I decided to watch further.

DAMN Soulkey impressed. He learned SO much from the first 3 games, got his act together, and completely demolished Innovation. He truly is one of a kind. I think Innovation just feared the macro zerg Soulkey is really that much.

I have never seen such a sick comeback EVER. A guy that is hyped beyond belief that is gonna take it 4-0, gets demolished AFTER having the score of 3-0. And tears, I have never seen so much terran and fanboy tears for a loong time. Although many terrans do wanted Soulkey to win cause he was seem to be an underdog. We in the West understand nothing, while korean scene knows its own scene in and out. We are the hype-train, which is the logical answer for our curses.

I went to bed on purpose, I had a bad feeling about that series, maybe it was mafia activity, maybe Zerg OP but really what I think is gamers are a pessimistic people, 3-1 can sometimes feel like 3-3, Innovation couldn't feel comfortable after that first loss and the feeling never went away. I completely blame psychology for this loss.

Attacking is still so good in this game. All-ins are super important but defender's advantage is still so small, it's incredibly difficult to win a defensive fight without perfect information or a really good guess.

Watching recent pro games feels like every matchup is the equivalent of Broodwar ZvZ where whoever has the BO advantage or biggest flock just murders the other person.

Set my alarm at 8:00, accidentally slept till 9:45. Tuned in, pretty angry to see it was already 0:3 - thinking it would be over soon. Luckily I could catch 4 more games! Really didn't expect soulkey to let his tears flow no stage, koreans are usually so 'cold' and emotionless on stage. Great ceremony, great comeback, great final!

Edit: if any of you missed the games, they're on youtube right now. Watch quickly before GSL deletes them.

Soulkey is the first player to get back from 0-3 in a GSL final. I couldn't believe what I saw when he came back. Innovation looked to have full control in game 7, but loosing those three medivacs was too much. I think Soulkey won the game because he adapted his game to his opponent perfectly and Innovation didn't counter-adapt well enough. In addition, I think nerves got to Innovation in game 7.

On the GSL stream when I was watching broke 50k and on the OSL stream with doa i think they hit about 1700. That is just foreigners though. The studio it was in was completely filled with some standing and I dunno how the TV or Stream numbers in korea were. So probably one of their more successful events if judging by just those numbers alone since on east coast of USA it started at 2am O_O
