Have taken some time off of watching GSL. Glad to catch these finals.
2 BW players left.... Has the elephant finally come to pass? haha you came to the wrong place my friend. Any talk like this gets called "baiting" and facts get thrown out the window. I don't think you understood the elephant in the room article. I think I understood it. I never took it literally (like KeSPA would dominate anything within a week of switching), but I think it just wanted to bring up the point or the, "elephant in the room", that even though we all claimed that Mvp was the best player in the world, and that the current SC2 players were world class, that there was so much talent that hadn't made the switch yet that making such claims was meaningless. Was Babe Ruth the best baseball player of his time? Who knows? Latinos, Blacks, and Asians weren't playing in the league and the sport wasn't as popular and accepted as it is today. Athletes made very little money and there wasn't a big competition to become a pro baseball player. So sure, we can say Flash is the best Korean player, but can we say he's the best in the world? How many neurosurgeons, lawyers, scientists, or engineers have the skillset to be the best at the moment, but never even heard of Starcraft? The Korean scene is developed enough that you get a very high talent pool-- How many koreans do you hear say they would be lawyers or doctors if they weren't gaming. Compare that to the foreign scene where pro gaming isn't even known to exist to the majority of people, and your average foreign progamer was just a typical nerd in high school who happened to fall into pro gaming. Just as it was pointless to call someone the "best korean" SC2 player before KeSPA made it's switch, it's pointless to call anyone the best player in the world. SC2 isn't developed like Basketball, in which case saying Lebron James is the best player in the world is established and proven. If the talent pool is small being the best means nothing. reasonable interpretation, but by that reasoning it's still fair to say that there is no "best korean" SC2 player now, and we'll never be able to crown one unless every korean starts playing SC2 full-time I think there is enough incentive and competition within the Korean scene that you can make the claim that Flash is the best, though it's obviously not as cut and dry as Lebron James to basketball. but even flash being the best at sc2 is contentious, a significant amount of people would say bogus is better, for example. i don't think esports (especially sc2) is nearly big enough in korea to say so. as you said, what about all the lawyers, doctors, and LoL players etc? and what about the untapped chinese scene? they are also known for being very good and hard working, but sc2 is not a thing there unfortunately If Chinese SC2 players had the same level of practicing and no bull shit technical problems (latency, visa, traveling, etc) I'm sure they would be just as good at SC2 as they are at games where they don't have those issues such as WC3 or Dota.
Ok so let's all just say "the best possible player given reasonable economic, cultural, and geo-political conditions within a 12 month time period". lol.

LzGaMeR said 4-2 for Innovation, on stream.
For some reason I also almost didn't get any sleep prior to this (despite planning decent sleep times), seems I'm not the only one.

Don't wanna feel the need in the middle you know I betcha Innovation feels more constipated right now. ... hype?
do this now: drink hot chocolate and have someone massage your butt cheeks for 30 mins.

I hope there is one game that goes into super late tech. Sky/Mech terran vs T3 Zerg swarm T_T. For the love of god, no 6/8 pools or two rax. Although they're likely to do it for one of these games. Remember there's a OGN stream too

So I guess it's just a coincidence that they are good at WC3 which is lan, and not at SC2 with out any practice pool and hundreds of latency having to play on other servers? It's just a coincidence that they could compete with Koreans at BW if there were no latency problems despite not having teams, having day jobs, and also having no practice pool? You know if Chinese players didn't have to contend with all this crap, had blizzard made WCS China or WCS Taiwan, or if there was no latency, that could be one of the best things to happen to SC2?
