I hope people finally get back on the floor and don't hype Naniwa like crazy. He's good, but he always lacked consistency after showing promising games in one stacked tournament (e.g. GSL, Dreamhack).

Yeah. He is world class when he can come up with an abusive and cheesy strat (this is not a diss, rather a complement of his RTS-brain), but crisis management? Not by a long shot.

In defence of Naruto, I am pretty sure from my terrible sporting career and much watching that the expectation is of the loser offering their hand, rather than the winner.

Think of it as in playing ladder I guess, the loser is the one who ggs out, when the obvious winner does it it can smack of gloating (although I don't think that was the case in this instance)

At least over here in the states, when we're playing sports we act like men, and win or lose--we shake hands with our opponent..

Exactly. I've sen guys lose world cup soccer and stanley cup finals. And guess what, they shake hands with their opponents. It's called being an adult.

most progamers in sweden belives the polite way is that the loser approaches to handshake the winner if he feels like it. never vise versa

From morrows twitter

Seemed like Vortix just wanted to gloat to naniwa perhaps.

I doubt it is that way, but that would be the swedish progamers problem then. Offering a shake hand after a comeptition is quite the use internationally in sports (and for swedish sportmen too).

Aah.. that was kind of stupid Naniwa... but then he is kind of stupid when he loses.

I am huge Naniwa fan, but even I acknowledge he is not the classiest player when he gets defeated.

Hehe, if you think it's bad mannered to approach the loser to shake his hand, how would you describe this:

;D

ROFL

yeah sportmanship is a douchy thing now!

naniwa is a douche so you're a douche if you don't expect him to be a douche!

the circle is complete, now bitter naniwa fanboys can go round and round and never encounter the real world.

Yes. NarutO is totally the bitter one here and you aptly made your point about how he calls everyone a douche.

You obviously are way more in touch with the real world, it's easy to see because unlike NarutO you don't get all up in arms over a forum post...

Seriously, he was just calmly stating his opinion.

I didn't say it was mannered, all I said that I think it was just as bad mannered by VortiX especially because you know Naniwa. If you want to show some respect, respect that he's not calm/happy after the loss. Cannot be that hard to understand is nothing but player bashing

So you're saying Vortix is bm because he should understand that Naniwa is too childish to shake his opponents hand. That's dumb.

I`d rather say vortix is BM, if you all guys go all about it.

If the winner wants to shake hands first, it`s like the winner says gg first instead of the loser.
