At least over here in the states, when we're playing sports we act like men, and win or lose--we shake hands with our opponent..

I didn't say it was mannered, all I said that I think it was just as bad mannered by VortiX especially because you know Naniwa. If you want to show some respect, respect that he's not calm/happy after the loss. Cannot be that hard to understand is nothing but player bashing

Does this apply to females or are you just being "macho"?

Don't even know what you are trying to say, but keep on bashing an excellent player for the sake of bashing him :-)

most progamers in sweden belives the polite way is that the loser approaches to handshake the winner if he feels like it. never vise versa

From morrows.

Seemed like Vortix just wanted to gloat.

Or wasn't aware of something that Swedes do? This seems more likely.

I don't really care about the denial of the handshake, especially with the history between Nani and Vortix (just take a look at their twitter conversations). Pretty sure Vortix enjoyed it! :D
Don't wanna hate on them though. Just giving my 2 cents

It's still better if the loser is the one extended the handshake. If you do it as a winner it can be seen as an offensive GG if that makes any sense. I mean imagine you just lost and are really pissed and want to cool off for a moment and your opponent runs over to you with a big grin does that seem friendly ? For me it wouldn't seem like that.

there is nothing awkward about him, its a position that's relatively new and he has to report on people who are often trolling in these threads.

I love watching Naniwa play, but I do hate him acting like a sore loser. When Naniwaah comes out after a loss, it's just a bummer to see. Nothing personal against the guy, I know a lot of people get emotional while playing, but I wish he would stop making things awkward

Are people really giving Nani shit for not shaking his hand? Vortix should've waited for Nani to offer a handshake or not go for one at all.

What? why?

Because it's a norm for loser to congratulate winner, just like gg as approval. When u win u don't go fopr handshake first, it's similar to offensive gg from my point of view.

Hehe, if you think it's bad mannered to approach the loser to shake his hand, how would you describe this:
