Demuslim should obviously be allowed to forfeit if he has to, and if MLG are scared of the shitstorm if that would happen then obviously something has gone wrong. While it might be seen as foul play against Miya, it's not Demuslim's fault but MLG's.

It's a bad situation for all parts, and it's all caused by MLG admins. No need to shit on any of the players imo.

Moose should have played miya and demu play the winner of that so people don't advance due to a technicality. I would feel a lot better earning it the right way if I was in their situation, rather than through a technicality.

Sasquatch also got a def loss because they told him the wrong time. Should they have restarted that bracket, too?

Would be not consistent at all with the previous qualifiers, mind you, where Hyun knocked out several people after being disqualified and they essentially told those players "deal with it".

I don't think people understand the situation that transpired between Miya/DeMu/Moose.

Why don't you enlighten us all then as from what I can see the situation was rather shitty for everyone involved and the outcome and handling while not ideal are probably the best outcome all things considered

It was shitty, but threatening to screw up the brackets by forfeit was not a cool move. Should have just talked everything out between people instead.

Both Demu and Moose threatened to forfeit so why hate on one and not the other

I did not mention any player name because both did

Wasn't in direct response to you but the poster who started this thread and others who are also focusing solely on DeMu

I ask myself that all the time when I see the Bisu anti fans posting.

I ask myself that every time I look in the mirror.

I tend to second this opinion.
Unless Miya got an email with the correct play times, then should have proceeded with walkover.

I think Demuslim is past that point with MLG in any case, whether it's justified or not.

Why are the moderators censoring random things? I was asking if Tilea was a man or a woman, having never heard that name before.. and I get abuse from some random moderator.

Are there rules against asking questions in the chat, that I don't know about?

It was poorly run by MLG. I'm just saying if I was a competitor I would sleep better at night knowing I earned my spot the right way and not through a technicality. It's not about what's right or wrong in this case rule wise, but sportsmanship and integrity of earning things the right way. This was a case of both players trying to dodge miya on a technicality so they would have a better chance of getting into code a.

ok ok, anyway, same goes for Miya, it would not be consistent with anything MLG has ever done in SC2 and I do think it would not have been fair to Demu/Moosegills

exactly my thoughts. i also support rich's tweet about the situation.

Are you serious? Shafting two people that had nothing to do with it to fix a situation you CAUSED by having incompetent admins is acceptable?

There is no right decision here, just less shitty ones. They should focus on hurting the least amount of people.

Tilea playing pretty well.

Drunkenboi's late game still looks rather shoddy, but he shows some promise.

Perhaps, on the other hand Demuslim not getting a seed was ridiculous, he's probably just frustrated. Waiting around for admin fuckups to be sorted must be incredibly annoying, as you have to be 'on-call' so to speak.
