Now they have to win at least 11/14 to qualify... It's impossible. mech is good in hots Seriously? Protoss has Immortals, Archons,Void Rays, High Templar and Collossi, which all HARD counter mech, If you build any 2 out of those 5 you win easily vs mech. But Oz is just terrible. He made DTs and Obsevers he couldn't even scout that Kop was going mech until Kop was ready to push. Just terrible play.
I had to log back in to tell you what a terrible post this is and that you have no idea whatsoever about this game. Oz did an aggressive blink stalker build that did absolutely nothing because Kop had tanks ready. Oz' build has to do damage though, otherwise you're behind. That's what happened. When protoss is behind, a solid way to catch up is to drop double forge because you can use the advantage of chronoboost more directly + you strengthen gateway units you already have invested in before instead of going towards a different higher tech that wouldn't be upgraded. So what does Kop do? Drops 3 factories which Oz doesn't know about and has no way of scouting whatsoever because he just spent his gas on blink, stalkers and now double forge. What's the one thing he's not gonna make vs the tanks he saw? Sentries. So no hallucination scouting. Kop showed a bunch of marines killing a pylon. At that point, everything is indicating a standard bio/tank opening/midgame. Kop has a raven so no observer scouting either. So Oz, already being behind, has no way of actually knowing wtf is going on and gets killed by mech. If he had reacted any differently than he did, he'd have died to a bio/tank push. He just had to take some risks as he was behind and didn't have scouting intel and he ended up taking the wrong ones.

In the end, better than last round was not enough. What expectations? Are there honestly people that thought they could go from zero to hero out of nowhere?

TBH they had the most experienced players in sc2 when they started the competition... All the kespa teams had what, 4-5 months experience tops?
Let's not hide our disappointment...

Still think Liquid should have got Supernova mind, he used to live with HerO after all!

idk who's suggesting that EGTL should pick up even MORE players to start winning...but that is truly a disgusting man city/chelski mentality (if you watch soccer you'll catch the reference)
EGTL is a team of proven players, plus jaedong who actually seems to be their best bet right now. Alive and Oz while not superstars were already solid pickups next to taeja, hero and revival.
May I remind you that Khan is comprised of old timers stork and jangbi (who was the latest in transitioning), breakout star Roro (who far surpassed expectations), and then a whole bunch of rookies with no records whatsoever. Okay so maybe reality beat jaedong a couple times in BW.
Still, every single factor points in favour EGTL winning, at least theoretically.

Experience can only carry you so far and then the world catches up to you. You guys need to stop making excuses.

And it's updated already! So good I picked up Kop, he did amazingly well this week, at least I managed to balance out my horrible trades in the first few weeks at the end, went from like -16 trade "gain" to +4 after all.
4th place in Team LR, not bad but I wanted more! :D
Next time I'll just pick the same team as Scarecrow, he's unreal.

Yes but he did it on belshir vestige and couldn't get his army all the way across the map in time. Roro kept poking at it from behind as it tried to cross with roaches and hero was either going to lose all his units to kiting roaches or waste time hunting them down, and by the time he actually got into position to start the attack, Roro was up 60-70 supply.

They could get Supernova...if EGTL decides to buy the entire Azubu roster. They might win a few more matches that way

May I remind you that Khan also has a whole bunch of practice partners that you will most likely never get to hear about, who help the A-team players practice and prepare for every single match? And so does every other Kespa team except maybe T8.
It's not about "DURR EG JUST BUY MORE PLAYERS TILL U WIN LOLOL", but when you consider that a significant portion of both of the teams' rosters isn't even in Korea, that leaves EG-TL with less chances and arguably lesser efficiency in their training regime.
