That aside, pretty good turnout from Grubby beating Polt in the clutch game to get out of groups

Hyun can too.

This isn't an online event, thus I am not counting on Hyun to make any huge waves here.

I can be proven wrong no doubt, but that's how I feel atm.

Hyun made it to a Code S final.

And Sniper won one. But nobody remembers him, blame the queen patch :D

Yeah, the game went on like a usual ZvZ, but Stephano switched to Lair/mutas while droning, Coca went for a roach push and killed him before the mutas arrived.

Grubby probably doesn't encounter that kind of play on EU Ladder, but still, you'd think a player at that level would be able to make the correct reads with all the scouting he got, then know what to do. very robotic play.

Leenock hasn't looked particularly good in the GSL either to be honest.

Which is what I think you mean?

Oops. Got my Zergs mixed up. Went and double checked, I had him confused with Miya for some reason.

Doesn't change how I feel about Hyun though.

arbitrary random statements ftw

i wasn't expecting G to win, but we can both agree that losing like he lost in the 2nd game is (should be) really unacceptable at this level

What 'level' are you talking about?
and how is his statement random? we all agree
that Leenock is a much better player than grubby dont we?

Grubby looked bad but lets not forget that Leenock is maybe the second best zerg in the world after Life. I think he is better than both Roro and Symbol.

Leenock is a beast at foreign events though, he's always done better overseas than in the GSL.

Ya Leenock is a tournament Champion. Grubby is not a SC2 champion yet.

It was just lings and he scouted Leenocks base with hallucinations. You hardly need experience to know what to build against that. It's not immortal sentry and you should not leave your natural open. Man I'm so dissapointed i was looking forward to these games. So sad :x

A couple of collossus would be a decent start, rather than massing immortals and then getting a twilight and blink..

Well, Coca did a speedling attack that stephano defended very well with slowlings, drones and queens on his ramp. Stephano then countered with speedlings and banelings and got a drone lead of about 8. He then droned up some more which led Coca use his speedlings to even up the drone count again. After that, Stephano was just to late with his mutas to defeat the roach bane push. The game went on for some time, but Coca kept running speedlings in to reduce Stephano's drone count further and keep his mutas at home. When Coca started to push with roach/hydra/queen Stephano gg'd
