Your last season in GSL this year, TaeJa. Make it count!

tbh if taeja makes ro8 and then still goes to NA wcs I won't understand why. Sure it's easier but he has to go through challenger league first and then if he does well in that he can get into premier league. Like I feel like it's a really silly decision from taeja to play in US next one when it will be on the 2nd season that he's back premier. Now he also has to deal with qualifiers at an awful time for them where it's going from 2 am for them till 10 am or so. So he will be pulling an all nighter.

Taeja shouldn't be allowed to change his mind if he goes far. It'd be the ultimate cake and eating it too decision. If he fails, he can just go to NA. If he does well in Korea, he can just stay.

While I did not watch the Asian Whatever Games, I've never really been impressed by sOs. He has a lot of gimmicky builds. I would not be surprised to see him go 0-2 in his group and never return, actually! We'll just have to wait and see. I do not believe anyone will be eager to choose him for their group though, since preparing against his playstyle is very hard.

I just hope Yoda can get a favorable group, I really want to see him in the Round of 8 to carry the IM Terran legacy.

A: (Z)RorO -> (Z)KangHo -> (P)Flying -> (T)GuMiho
B: (P)PartinG -> (Z)Life -> (T)Flash -> (P)sOs
C: (T)TaeJa -> (Z)Shine -> (Z)Soulkey -> (T)Bomber
D: (Z)Symbol -> (T)YoDa -> (Z)soO -> (T)INnoVation

I think RorO will pick a zerg and obviously won't pick his teammate. Symbol choosing YoDa might be a bit out of left field - we'll have to see if Symbol's IM-picking crusade is still going strong. Not sure who TaeJa will choose, except not a protoss so will be the weakest out of T/Z, which looks like Shine. PartinG vs Life vs Flash is basically a certainty, lol. YoDa will say tyvm to Symbol and pick another zerg. Shine will probably want a ZvZ. KangHo probably won't want a TvZ. I reckon Flash will pick sOs rather than a possibly easier opponent in Bomber or Gumiho because he won't want to have to practice all three matchups. Innovation to get picked last, of course, unless someone has to avoid a teamkill.

Now the fun begins. Between S1 and last year, so many seeds have lost to their first picks. I reckon Symbol, RorO and PartinG losing will continue the trend.

A: Flying and KangHo advance
B: Life and Flash advance
C: TaeJa and Soulkey advance
D: InnoVation and YoDa advance

Ro8: Flash > Flying, YoDa > TaeJa, Life > KangHo, InnoVation > Soulkey
Ro4: Flash > YoDa, Life > InnoVation
Final: Life > Flash

Dare to dream?

Lol! In before

- Roro picks Life coz he beat Life last season his way to winning
- Life picks Innovation coz he knows people are looking forward to the matchup
- Innovation picks Flash coz he wants revenge for MLG

Wasn't Hyun already DQ'd from the NA league because he had already played in the ro:32 in Korea?

I wish we could watch the Korean stream for the group nominations at least. It's annoying when Khaldor (or whoever else is there) feels the need to commentate everything while players are talking.

I'd probably not be far wrong if I said any of those 16 could easily be GSL champ. What a stupidly stacked season we have o_O

It's mad when you consider we don't have people like Mvp in there.

Probably just John the Translator, but occasionally they call in Khaldor and/or Wolf to join him.

He was ro16 last season, that was the group where Losira and Gumiho played amazing games but both didn't advance.

I am excited but sad at the same time. MC isn't there to make poor choices, MKP isn't there to snuggle Losira, Nestea isn't there to nod off 5 minutes in. I swear if Parting doesn't bring some crazy trash talk this will be the worst group selection ever despite having one of the best lineups
