MOD NOTE: The bracket on Liquipedia is not final and should be assumed to be speculative. If you are a competitor, trust what MLG Admins tell you over the bracket.

Either Crank makes it to the Premiers, or a Chinese player does, and it would probably help the Chinese scene if he could get the upset over Crank. Even if Crank loses this he will be in a reasonably easy lower bracket match most likely.

I have resigned myself to rooting for TB's team. I probably won't even watch tomorrow, honestly just bring on the darn real thing hehe ![]() Dreamhack should be hilariously better than either qualifier. Its virtually like watching a cable access show vs. something on HBO. And by that its not as if I am bashing on Axelslav because they do what they can and work pretty hard. Its just... you know what I am saying. Good night everyone!

At least we got our invites remaining, with a chance brings hope. I hope MLG doesn't bitch out and put NA players vs. top Koreans and at least we have a few remaining second round. =/ I have resigned myself to rooting for TB's team. Well, the groups are already set with 3 players each and the 4th player will come from the qualifiers so all groups will have at least one Korean. Some already have one, so those will have 2.

the Apoc vs Crank cast was a replay. Crank vs Top started a while ago.

Alicia had to play and beat Zenio, JYP, and Revival to qualify. Oz beat Demuslim and Alive. Who did TheStC beat? Miya, Bails, and someone named Fruitsbasket. If Crank wins his next match, he'll have qualified by beating Apocalypse, Sasquatch, and Top. The loser's brackets are an even bigger mess. In LB1, Jaedong, Zenio, Revival, Demuslim, and Center have to scrap it out for a seed. In LB 4, only one of Sage, JYP, and Alive can qualify. Meanwhile, in LB2 the two most notable players are Hwangsin and Miya. In LB3, the most notable are Heart and Apocalypse. One double elimination bracket will not qualify the best 8 players, they should've run at least 2 brackets.

With Groups 6, 7, and 8 having no Koreans currently, we're guaranteed a minimum of 3 foreigners in the round of sixteen. Also, with Scarlett being Scarlett, I think a conservative estimate would be 4 foreigners in the ro16. Also, I think players like HuK, Suppy, Goswser, Idra, Killer, and Major have the potential to pull an upset, I can see the top 16 containing as many as 8 foreigners. Realistically, I think we're looking at about 11/16 Koreans in the ro16.

Not enough evidence to reach that conclusion. The best NA has to offer are mostly already seeded into premier league. There is a pretty big gap between players like Scarlett and the NA players who were in this qualifier.

China should be better than NA simply because there is a strong gaming culture there. If SC2 was as popular as MOBAs or WoW was in China, the Chinese could probably keep up with the Koreans. Granted, this is a bit of extrapolation, but I figure since China dominates Dota and does very well in LoL and in WC3, it wouldn't be stretching it to say that China has the potential to be great at SC2.

There are plenty NA players already seeded who wouldn't of been able to qualify even if there were 50% less Koreans. NA is weak as hell and that's why you see so many Koreans. Gotta take advantage while you can. Don't blame em.
