no one seems to know why he was allowed to play for this long

MOD NOTE: The bracket on Liquipedia is not final and should be assumed to be speculative. If you are a competitor, trust what MLG Admins tell you over the bracket.

It is way easier on Koreans actually because if they drop a series they get easier competition and everyone is human and makes mistakes, second chance lets Korean mess up once and still get a seed. I guess what I am saying is NA players need to get lucky to win most of the time, this system eliminates luck from the equation. EU was smart by making a first round BO1, this allowed EU to get some decent snipes and it saved valuable time. If JD was elimmed out for example it would have saved so many players, OTP would have been saved and could have had an easier road to a spot. Also this argument about Idra or Demuslim is dumb, if you replaced someone it would be State or something, why compare one dude with another who both get big time stream numbers? They BOTH deserve to move on. Not really. As elimenation or loser/winnersbrackets over mutiple days gives more then 1 chance for everybody. The difference between EU and NA is just that EU has better players basically. Just ask the korean protos if mech is viable in tvp ![]() Lol EU does have better players but that is not the difference. The difference is 4 koreans trying to qualify vs 20 koreans trying to qualify. Then there's the fact that these are far better Koreans in this qualifier and there is less latency. Thats why u bought demuslim, stephano etcetc... ofc.. u must be right ![]()

As far as I know Code S players are allowed to switch regions after this season and if they do they must play the qualifier simultaneously Cause MLG fucked up, no other way to put it.

They BOTH deserve to move on. There's just so much wrong with this post: Who's OTP? OneTrickPony? JD beat him in the winners bracket, how would he have been saved? :s. The EU system would have probably made it easier for Koreans since instead of being a double elim it was basically quadruple elim, meaning they need to get beat 4 times to go out, instead of just 2 times. If they drop a match they face easier opponents for a bit, until they eventually hit exactly the same people that they would have had to play if they'd stayed in the winners bracket, since everyone in the winners bracket other than the qualifiers go to the lower bracket. Overall the lower bracket is harder, because you have to play more games, and beat the same people you'd have had to beat in the winners bracket. Bo1 is fucking terrible.
