MOD NOTE: The bracket on Liquipedia is not final and should be assumed to be speculative. If you are a competitor, trust what MLG Admins tell you over the bracket.

It is way easier on Koreans actually because if they drop a series they get easier competition and everyone is human and makes mistakes, second chance lets Korean mess up once and still get a seed. I guess what I am saying is NA players need to get lucky to win most of the time, this system eliminates luck from the equation. EU was smart by making a first round BO1, this allowed EU to get some decent snipes and it saved valuable time. If JD was elimmed out for example it would have saved so many players, OTP would have been saved and could have had an easier road to a spot. Also this argument about Idra or Demuslim is dumb, if you replaced someone it would be State or something, why compare one dude with another who both get big time stream numbers? They BOTH deserve to move on. Having the LB is great if you want the best players to go through, because the better players have more chances to go through.

The difference between EU and NA is just that EU has better players basically. Just ask the korean protos if mech is viable in tvp ![]() Lol EU does have better players but that is not the difference. The difference is 4 koreans trying to qualify vs 20 koreans trying to qualify. Then there's the fact that these are far better Koreans in this qualifier and there is less latency.

They BOTH deserve to move on. The tournament structure here isn't the problem. There will be other qualifiers in the future and inevitably Koreans would come and win and take over premier league. The problem is that Blizzard created a perverted set of economic incentives for Koreans by essentially coopting their scene, lowering its prize pool and number of tournament events and offering huge amounts of money to play easy players in NA. This is just beating a dead horse at this point; this has been gone over and over on the forums already. You can't create a tournament with a prize structure like WCS has where you can move between regions in a game where regional skill disparities are so massive. No amount of tweaking the bracket or group format would change this outcome.

I suppose it was mostly because the WoL fungal was redicilous, but it's pretty cool that now you can see how good the terran is by how he actually splits just as it is about to land, rather than him being clairvoiant in when the FGs are about to be cast.

And conversely "beautiful fungals" do actually make sense now, it's cool to see Zergs anticipate Terran's kiting and splitting to target efficiently.
