I don't understand why Koreans chose to play in the EU qualifier. They're obviously better overall (although Tails wouldn't even be close to the top 50 Koreans and is worse than quite a few foreigners imo), but not so much better you can win with 300ms+, not to mention it is extremely shitty and not fun to play like that every week.

Tails would have a hard time to qualify for EU Premier Division even if he lived in Europe. Just like Daisy, who did nothing when he was in Europe, even failed to make the EPS top 8. The only Korean participating in the qualifiers with a real shot at making Premier Division is Finale.

No, that's bullshit. Tails is good enough to qualify for Premier, I mean, so are 20 other Europeans but I'd say Tails would still be one of the players with the best chances if he lived in EU.

He's not THAT bad.

Depends on who he plays .Even Without lag i still rate at least 15 Europeans even or better than him.

There are not 15 europeans, probably not even 5, who could win games against good players in GSTL regularly, let alone devise snipe builds to take out anyone. Tied perhaps with finale, Tails is by far the best player in this qualifier.

Neither Tails or Finale are good enough koreans to be anything but prepared snipers in GSTL. Neither are mainstays on MVP .

You might want to look at Tails' record last season. MVP's protoss trio isn't like IM's but you'd be a fool to call them "not good enough"

Then you severely underestimate how good he is.

He was pretty good in 2011/2012 but these days ? Whats his most recent decent result anywhere ?

Show me the foreigner who has beaten Parting, Hack, Noblesse, Hyun, First, Ryung and others in 2013.

Very good run from Starbuck. Beating Adel, LoWeLy and Harstem is impressive.

still tails is not like "uh he beast all europeans" i can name instant 10 who are easy better and so naming 15 isnt that hard (even some unknown i am sure in this matchup tails would have HUGE problems, and the players arent rly known ... jaeh 300ms ARE MUCH but top pros can still win (like hyun) in europe ...
but tail lose to guys i never heared of ^^

You are going to be wrong and a huge party-pooper if you post like this for the WCS EU previews.

isn't duckdeok pronounced more like 'duck-dee-ok'?

Nope dok is right. The "eo" sound is similar to "o" for french ears, the english can make the difference (If I got everything right that's the "o" in "dog" rather than in "go"). Koreans romanize it "eo" because they are awesome and therefore they can do whatever they want.

i'm not sure what French has to do with anything, but doesn't that mean it should be pronounced 'duck-de-ok' if Koreans pronounce it that way? (i.e. the 'eo' is a diphthong)

i'm asking because Kaelaris keeps saying "duckduck"

It's crucial as well that there hasn't been much Sc2 on recently and pretty much none involving foreigners so a lot of people are really desperate for their Sc2 fix.

Or Krass. I'm pretty sure Heromarine will make his way into Code S too, as soon as he's old enough to play.
