The usual: Don't flame casters or players. Don't discuss balance in this or any LR thread. Don't call your fellow posters idiots. Be excited, happy and entertained. |

Yeah, Thorzain looked fairly bad (I am being redundant about this), but he's played better when he streamed HOTS beta while in Korea. Killer did look better, but compared to what Last did to Stephano, Killer won't make it out unless Last gets a heart attack in the booth.

I'm confident the Zergs will find a way eventually, but this series was brutal. Maybe the reason is Leenock is just not good enough, Life probably can do better. Oh boy here it comes. Prepare for another "Terran are just better players thread" soon. I'm saying Leenock is probably not top 3 zerg, I wouldn't be surprised if he's not in top 5 zerg ranking. But Bogus is probably No.1 or 2 terran. Currently Leenock is 6th zerg and 8th overall in TLPD ELO Because the TLPD ELO is remotely accurate. Is it less accurate than what fanboys perceive as the best players? I doubt it. Certainly not more accurate.

What many people are not noticing is that the terran lineup for this tournament is ABSOLUTELY KILLER. Probably 70%+ or so of the top 10 terrans in the world are in this 32 man bracket. Of course terran will win a lot, even if this was WoL. The problem is not that they win a lot, but HOW they win. Innovation just made Leenock, a zerg who held his own since GSL open season 2 look like a foreigner patch zerg. We understand as time goes by it will get better but this is frustrating to watch. And naturally this was only because of Medivacs, and absolutely not because he opened 2-bases Mutalisks with a late third against fast triple OC each game.
With the new units terran is able to deny fast third bases of zerg really easy. So zerg is basicly forced to go 2 base tech or play really risky and hope terran plays passive. But terran can open 3OC and pressure the zergs third at the same time. There lies the real problem in ZvT at the moment. Zerg is not able to come out even into the midgame with terran

Thereby showing that sending your players to Korea, out of their comfort zone, away from their friends & family, etc. does not pay off.
This, a thousand times. Korea is not some magical spring you can go and drink from and turn into a better player immediately.

seeing sheth. Does he still play SC2?!?

Since half lost to foreigners and not koreans I would say that they just need to train better.

Rain vs Jjakji inc, hopefully we'll see some dominant play from P, showing us how to crush T.

And it's not like Leenock is surely better than roro or symbol. Most of his achievement are from overseas anyway.

I usually want to slap you for jumping on every KeSPA hype train known to man, but I really cannot disagree with you here - Innovation played to his strenghts and Leenock didn't really know what to do, or didn't have enough experience to handle the drops.

This tournament is stacked with better Terrans than anything else anyone that can't see that is lying to themselves.
There's only A SINGLE Foreign Terran here and guess what.... he lost.
There's just way more foreign Zergs and Protoss players at this MLG just like there has been at like every other MLG in the past and frankly that's just a recipe for Terran domination in the round of 32. Now the real test begins as the flock has been thinned and the real contenders remain.
