The usual: Don't flame casters or players. Don't discuss balance in this or any LR thread. Don't call your fellow posters idiots. Be excited, happy and entertained.

Racewise its so stack it just isn't fair. But skillwise, this is a great MLG to watch

Protoss has/had with creator, parting, rain & mc the best of the world in the booth. its just a super stacked tournament, but I agree with you that terran has more top players than the other races at this tourney

the reason for that might be that they didnt qualify.....

they didn't qualify because MLG qualifer was done in early beta, which is far from what the game is now

You need to stop with all the ferrarivac whining. What many people are not noticing is that the terran lineup for this tournament is ABSOLUTELY KILLER. Probably 70%+ or so of the top 10 terrans in the world are in this 32 man bracket. Of course terran will win a lot, even if this was WoL.

I like how blue stream is 2.5 hours behind schedule

In other news, sad Thorzain going out only Terran to lose a non-TvT so far this tournament

Guys, the game is a week old, stop freaking out about terran. You gotta remember zerg dominated MLGs and other tournies for months before this came out. Give it some time before you freak about balance.

We remember, but zergs spent year figuring out how to win with the tools they had. This just feels like terran has had it handed to them....

Zerg received buffs, they didn't only figure things out (queen buff, overlord speed buff, infestors buff)

I actually think ret has a decent chance against Flash, Bly got very close to drawing the game @ 2-2 and there's no reason ret shouldn't be able to do the same.

Actually you might be very wrong. While i agree with you, Ret has said that he is having lots of problems and tough times against Terran.

I take it as Ret's weakest match-up.

Well, every zerg has trouble against terran, but he has had a chance to see flash's games and will be prepared and with something up his sleeve. Flash's play was not on the level of bogus/innovation yesterday. I fear for taxing of his multi-tasking, but to be honest I find flash a bit overrated in that respect.

When you watched his games you can surly tell why.
And I want to clarify, he's losing because Killer is just the better player in these games.

So, zergs used to go mutas in part to shut down terran drop play, but now that mutas are not able to do so...

so zergs are not making spores/spines - in game 2 leenock had 2000 mins at one point and kept making drones, just to keep loosing them cause he did not build a single spine/spore...

They need to adapt..
Zergs were used to leaving home 1 infestor and a move couple lings and the drop was gonna be destroyed 100% of the time, now that is FINALLY more powerful, zergs have to adapt, just like terrrans had to suck it up hardcore when the queen/infestor buff took place.
Let them adapt

Yes because Leenock never had to play ling-bling-mutas without relying on infestors to counter heavy drop play from Terrans in the past right? Surely he wasn't doing just that for a year before the queen buff right?

Oh wait...

Broham, for the last time. Leenock goes for a 2-base timing, gets supply blocked (because imba), does 0 damage, yes, he's behind against a 3-base terran.

From that spot, can the best TvZ player around be allowed to win the game when he multitasks like no other?

Innovation thanks you for your understanding.

What does that have to do with what i'm saying? I watched the game, Leenock was loosing way before the medivacs were wrecking is base.

But implying that he needs to "learn who to do something else than sitting 1 infestor and a few lings to deter drops" is fucking insulting.

Zerg needed another anti air unit, why blizzard gave vipers instead of fixing infestors i will never know.
The big problem is that zerg units simply suck in low numbers so dropps are like a kick in the nuts.
why no scourge

With scourge certain units, like colossus, voidrays, ravens, and vipers would probably never, ever be made again. They would be harder to balance than widow mines : /

I have a great deal of respect for Innovation's insane multitasking, but I'll admit I get kind of frustrated when a player as good as Leenock can't even take a game because there is no way to defend everywhere at once, and there seems to be no way to stop the drops.

I'm confident the Zergs will find a way eventually, but this series was brutal.

Maybe the reason is Leenock is just not good enough, Life probably can do better.

Oh boy here it comes.

Prepare for another "Terran are just better players thread" soon.

Leenock not good enough? Are you serious? He is one of the most talented zergs in the game.

Well, for quite a bit, in game 2 at least, Leenock was playing with his entire army in one hotkey. Eventually he left units in multiple spots, but INnoVation did have quite superior multitasking. MC said Zerg players became poor because they were so used to using just a couple units all in one clump.

I do think in this case INnoVation is a better player than Leenock, but I also think the games would've been quite different against someone like Life.
