Squirtle went stargate, didn't scout the hydra den despite having phoenix's and went for twilight archives then went for a third, so he ate 2 cancels on the third, all this time symbol has considerable greater income... Then goes robo bay.. symbol puts spire down 30s later since it was obvious... Basically symbol grabbed an advantage and didn't let go.

Well we will see... I am not that sure. Maybe it is just that at the current state of the game playing this playstyle on most of the maps favors the WOL Zerg composition and it is just the playstyle that is so anoying to me. I really like ling muta play :'( and I really miss it. Poor DRG.

I dont know why i'm so sad! ... but for some reason todays results have made me sad  ...
I suppose were just to the point that anytime a protoss gets knocked out it's gonna make me sad lol. So far zerg players have won 8 GSL's, terran players have won 8 GSL's protoss have won 3. But Squirtle really didnt play as well as he had to in order to advance. Just really rooting for protoss this season! MC and Parting left, i couldn't think of any other protoss i'd like to be leading the charge for protoss!

You just can't justify some wins (i think). Also ZvZ lategame - who wants to watch this? When I have to justify to buy GSL ticket (the league where at least some players are that can stop this madness) I can't look in the eyes of a friend and tell him he has to buy it because the games are so entertaining (and this is to some degree zergs fault).

Kind sad is that when DRG lost yesterday, no one said he's garbage despite only having to practice one MU, and one MU that supposedly is totally imba and ezpz for zergs.

@Alpina: No. It is just easier. You have to make a lot of stuff for your macro but it is rewarded with more easy to take engagements. Its just more rewarding in my eyes. You have less risk and more chance of winning because of creep spread and the production. When creep spread was introduced nobody was that good with it. Now a map is purple in 14 minutes and only in a few games the other races can deal with it properly.
But maybe I am just a noob -.-

He did play pretty bad though, except his series vs Bomber where he played better than both Soulkey and Symbol today

Squirtle got quite clearly outplayed vs Symbol on both the last matches, there wasnt a single infestor built in both games, game 2 protoss made a deathball and attacked into spines + broods.

I just don't like the state of the PvZ matchup. If Zerg gets to Broodlord/infestor, they win in like 95% of the cases. How they get there does not matter. If they are, like in game 3 of soulkey vs squirtle, down to 1 mining base with 0 bank, and they have this army, they still win. If a Protoss has to cancel a base, it's over, all of his timings are screwed and his only chance to win, by using a 3base all in, is eliminated.
On the other hand, Protoss has some really, really strong all-ins off of 2 and 3 bases, which are used in 99% of the games, because a) they are really hard to hold without bl/infestor and b) the only viable option to win.
I'm not trying to say that Squirtle totally deserved to get out of this group, he got really cocky after he went 3-0 and screwed up hard vs Soulkey, i mean he scoutet 10 lings and no 3rd in game 2 and still did not add cannons wtf. In the 2nd series against Symbol he played bad, and deserved to lose, but this does not change the fact that the MU is broken, imo.
Well, all that's left is to root for the soultrain, the bosstoss and hots to fix all of this.
