Unexpected problems and delays are an inherent part of any live broadcast, and "disqualify the player/team responsible" just seams like a lazy solution and a disservice to everyone involved. Except that this wasn't a technical problem or some other hiccup it was purely the player's fault. And yes Kespa has to punish EG-TL here or how else could they make sure that players show up in time. Do you expect them to bend the rules every single time? Don't you think teams would realize that and not worry about showing up in time any longer? the punishment has to be severe because a starting player coming late hurts the broadcast and schedule Yes, I think generally you expect your players and teams to conduct themselves in a professional manner, which certainly includes showing up to matches on time. This hasn't been some chronic issue with EG-TL though, nor is it part of any consistent lack of professionalism. A simple cell phone call would have shown that Hero and JYP were stuck in traffic, and Kespa should have adjusted their schedule accordingly. From what we know right now, it looks like there was no ill intent or gross lack of responsibility on Hero or JYP's part; getting stuck in traffic seems to be squarely in the "shit happens" category. We have all been late to work because a train broke down or our car popped a tire, but that's life, shit happens. It would seem really inappropriate for an employer to fire an employee or dock him a days pay for that, but it looks like that's what happened here. are you forgetting that Kespa is the organization that's DQ'd people for accidentally typing a single key other than "p" in game? they're hardasses and their decision shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who's actually familiar with the way they operate. At least their rules are clear and stick to it. So many times we hear about tournaments having rules not being enforced or even worse, put in the hands of the players themselves. I vastly prefer this even if it means some silly rules in some cases.

Quoted again because no one really replied to this.
Not sure what they usually do 15 minutes before the game but Hero wasn't "late late", he just wasn't early on time.

Revival was some pretty shitty crisis management right now -_-

Was Soulkey the one that had the best zvz ling bane match with DRG?

It's really unreasonable how peoplee are getting angry at Kespa... a live broadcast is really tough to pull off at the quality they put on, and they have to have graphics/ player info ready, and even if Hero showed up before the broadcast, they had to have time to prepare all of that.
He was deserving of the loss because a broadcast has to go on and to have no penalty for that is just unacceptable, to have a crew of people prepare and only have a moment's notice of having a player there makes their life so much harder.
Also Woongjin is gonna win anyways :D

Soulkey's build is really nice for this map. Revival seems unprepared.

It would seem really inappropriate for an employer to fire an employee or dock him a days pay for that, but it looks like that's what happened here. Maybe they should have called then... There are times in life when you're supposed to be at places sharp. What does that mean. Show up very frigging early to play. It's a simple rule and many places follow it. If time is a factor you take it out of the equation by showing up really early. The plane's not going to wait. Exactly. I can't to see how a professional organization failed to plan ahead or account for traffic. Why not leave an hour early? What could be more important on that day? If I was 15 mins late to an interview because of traffic, I wouldn't expect to get the job. He already has the job That was an example. I assume you're not so dense, and are just trying to be clever without adding anything to the discussion.
Either way, he was 15 mins late to the game, so he didn't get to play the game.
