I think what goes through the head coach's head is something like this.

Send out Huk as a filler. Then send out Stephano.
If Stephano lost to herO, send out JYP and pray.
If Stephano lost to Bbyong, send out Taeja to snipe for a win and pray he won against Hydra.
If Stephano lost to Hydra, then send out JYP to snipe Hydra (and pray for a win).

Wonder why they went pure EG though. I mean, JYPvZ certainly does make sense, but the no liquid bit seems a bit odd. Huh.

I think the only weird sending was Huk. Who was probably meant to snipe hero, because TL HerO has a weakness to PvP and Taeja's TvP isn't great.

Then Huk lost so they sent out Stephano and he won twice, leaving room for only one player - JYPvZ is good enough.

I still think these games should be bo9, to test depth better. But that's just me.

Can't do that while keeping these rounds balanced with the normal proleague rounds

Taeja is probably still not 100% from his recent procedure/treatment. Also im sure there is a reason why they sent out JYP for this specific ace

Dont worry we'll be more likely to see TL players again when it goes back to proleague format since you have to use 6 players. Stephano/Jaedong/JYP/HerO/TaeJa/Revival

Why send huk as a filler? Just send taeja or hero and actually hope to win.

I'm sure it was a coincidence, something like "Taeja is preparing for herO[jOin] as ace" (which was more likely, with the map favoring P as has been mentioned) and "JYP is preparing for Hydra as ace." Other TL players were probably being prepared for one of the maps that someone else played on because they won their previous game. Just a coincidence here people, calm the hell down.

Ok, with this all EG lineup i wish they had send hero or taeja instead of huk. wtf?:

Hey man, Huk's code S.

They both are, gotta do better then that

HuK's historically had better PvP than Hero (that might not be the case currently perhaps). And no, Hero didn't make Code S this season, but HuK did.

Fair enough about HerO, but ofc i was talking about Taeja instead of HerO, and yes both Huk and Taeja made it in Code S.

Nevermind it seems Taeja got threatment for his hands after the up and downs, to it would make sense to take Huk. I was not aware of that.

Well, the teamhouse is owned by EG. Coach and Hwanni are EG's. More EG members are coming to Korea. Heck, why must they send TL players? for the win? Nah, does winning give more sponsors? No, Advertisement does and EG fans will be happier.

They might send TL players in the future, but don't expect TL members to be in the main lineup.

And yet, some people call me delusional at last EGTL match, doh, welcome to the real world.

I'm sure they will use TL players, HerO/Taeja are amazing. Having a big roster atm might not be as useful but before the end of the season we will have MLG/IPL's etc that some of these guys will go to and they still need to do will in pro league.

There are so many reasons why players don't get used, no need to start drama.

Wow, JYP does look SUPER nervous though.
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

No, it's

-facing their ace, a Protoss
-send out a PvP sniper in Huk
-send out a ZvP specialist in Stephano
-send out a PvZ specialist in JYP

Rather than sending out players who aren't as good vs Protoss in HerO or Taeja. It makes perfect sense.
