Can someone explain this to me? I missed the beginning of Flash vs JD but he ended up having siege too late and JD did a good burst with 1-1 which dealed too much damage. Flash was so much behind he could not do shit but die slowly. The 2nd lost game was apparently CC first with no bunker vs a 2 stalker 1 zealot poke, Flash lost around 17scv, he was behind and thus tried a 8 medivac bioball+ scv allin on cloud kingdom but MC delayed the push very well with his FF, allowing him to barely hold. I think in the JD game he was not going to win with his build (I mean it was really a weird build, only 1 ebay but late siege), but he could very well have won vs MC so it's disappointing.

Currently with MC's micro skills he would most likely be 2 times as good if he would have choosen his race as terran. Imagin how much better he will become when HotS comes out, and Protoss gets more micro potential.

While I definitely agree he's not on his best form (Actually really far from it), MC just knows how to win, and this is a factor many people fail to consider, he's always playing on the line, and most of the time he succeeds. This is not about the format, MC just did well, as he usually does in this type of setting. If he's that good then just have a separate day for Up&Down tiebreakers. H2H is a shitty way to do it considering MC lost to Yoda (the best player on the night) who flash beat.

The bunker didn't mean he won, that was a light pressure by MC that turned into a bop. If MC does nothing he is by no means out.

To imagine MC with better decisions , is just plain scary and obviously no-one would come close to beating him. He is easily the most talented ESF player Ive ever seen. Congrats on earning your place back in Code S SK_MC !!! Salute !!! xD Id say PartinGs micro is on par with MC.

It's just not an ideal system in general really but what are you gonna do, you've got to run 5 groups + wildcards and if you make it bo3 each group will take up two days, and tiebreakers on a different day is also adding x2 as many days. I mean I GUESS they could take two weeks to do the up/downs but I think people would get tired of it.

Flash played excellent on the AK vs EGTL, but it also comes to show how PL is a level below GSL Code S, I'd say U&D is a correct level for most KeSPA pros, probably the only exception being Rain. Flash is one of the better ones though, he needs more consistency, same as JD Can't agree more. Up and down is so crowded. SPL is below code s for sure in terms of players

Flash is one of the better ones though, he needs more consistency, same as JD The problem with PL is that you can get screwed if your coach chooses the wrong player / map (not sending TaeJa on antiga seriously?), and there are some new maps thus their practice regimen is really adapted to the proleague but not that much for the GSL. The KeSPA aces can do very well in the GSL (see Bogus, and Rain/Fantasy) but yeah I'm not sure that the likes of Wooki, Action, Stats, Speed, etc... could make it in the GSL format.

And don't they count Blizzard Cup as a Code S Championship? they do, but they shouldn't because it's too short and does not represent the actual nature of the GSL format which gives alot of time to prepare for a specific opponent. for example winning a stacked MLG championship by cutting down code s players left and right isn't a code S win just because of the players you beat.

The cycle of life carries on. Stephano got Polt's seed. The two seeds that normally are given to players were given to the wildcard group because no players have done anything special since 2012 Season 5. Stephano didn't win anything. Also, LiveForever and LegalMind retired.
