I propose: A. Familiarity with the Korean Pro Scene, players, history, teams. Needs to have actively followed the scene and know their shit for MINIMUM past 2 years, preferably past 3+. + Show Spoiler [Why] + This cast is for foreign fans. If we as foreign fans are watching (and paying) for Kespa instead of ESF matches/players etc. its clearly because we care about the players more than strictly more perfect SC2 execution. Therefore we need a caster who understands that affection and relation foreign fans have for Kespa players, which means they understand the scene, meaning they've followed it. For example right now SNM is telling Effort's retirement story. Fabulously done. B. SC2 Knowledge, to capably understand the game. To be aware of possible and current strategies, and be able to expain 'who's in the lead'+ Show Spoiler [Why] + This is the reason I even listen to English casts. I acknowledge I don't follow (or play at all) SC2, so I don't quite know what the current trends and advantages are, so I need someone to explain how the SC2 is flowing, and I can't get that from the Korean. C. Casting Ability. Being good. There's so much to say, let me dig up one of my longass posts. Basically, I feel very strongly about this point, and have personal experience with it, sadly not enough to be able to swing some weight around. | ||
