Good micro, but his macro was lacking in that game. you can't warp in and micro the immortals I don't know, make 10 gateways instead of 8 then, so when you do use warpins you can spend more of your money? it is all about the timing; 10 gates would throw the timing off and wouldn't be as potent, you can only support 8 gates off of two bases. the point is as soon as he lost his forward pylon, he needed to realise he wouldn't be able to warp in as much, so each warp in needed to be bigger, so he should have made ~2 more gates It's so risky to go back to your base and build 2 more gates, even with the APM of a pro gamer. you look away for two seconds, miss FF's and you lose. Then learn to put down gates faster (like Parting would need more than 1sec). Learn to watch minimap. Learn to react. Learn to recognize when you are in minimal danger. This is supposed to be the highest level of play surely we can expect Parting to be able to build 2 gates just like we expect zerg's in zvz to inject and tech during ling-baneling wars.

PartinG's Immortal/Sentry all in is sick to watch. Force Fields aside, the Immortal pickup/drop micro is reminiscent of Reaver/Shuttle micro in Brood War.

A large part of the balance/freshness in RTS game is an ever changing map pool. How long have tournaments used the same core of maps for their map pool?
Personally, I'd like to see more maps like Whirlwind.
Props to tournament organizers who like KeSPA who like to keep the game fresh and balanced.

25 second pylon build time + probe moving from his 2nd to place it
that's enough time to have another wave of roaches out

This is a great point. Because of so many SC2 tourneys, I find myself missing a lot of them, even some of my favorite ones.

The original reason was it slowed things down. The fastest version requires you to rally the first WP already.
The slower ones seem to prioritize the observer for creep-cleaning and burrow shenanigans.
Basically, robo time bottleneck.
