long-term investment paying off.

Hopefully when HOTS hits we will see an economic depression and thus the end of those dreaded investors

the FXO advantage!

#FXO2012 Year of FXO

i actually wonder what the "team of the year" would be, ala "player of the year"
candidates include FXO, LG-IM, ST and Prime I guess?

I'd say startale, life, squirtle, parting, bomber and hack combined definitely had the most success this year.

yeah, but for 'team of the year' should we not weight 'team' results a bit more than individual results? which still count, though, of course.

FXO has 2x GSTL. Prime has GSTL, IPLTAC, KSL. LGIM has a IPLTAC, as does ST

Startale won the first IPTL, not a TAC.

pretty much the same caliber of tourney, they're pretty equivalent haha ;p

I think you have to give it to FXO. In a 'team of the year' situation, team success > player success.

Startale no doubt have the best roster in SC2 atm, but they've had very little team success.

Startale had the most idividual success while it's debatable for team league success, Prime did win GSTL and every other team league for a while but when marineking ran out of steam it stopped while FXO had more success at the end of the year.

FXO should win if your just going off team results imo. Startale wins if you add in individual results

I'm guessing Startale, to be honest. But it's very hard to call.

It depends if you just look at GSL results. FXO has the team league titles. In terms of Code S, Mvp and LG-IM (not sure if you count MC) are pretty even with ST just behind (but they can take over if we have ST finals in this Blizzard Cup). And ST players as a group has done better in Code S. So it really depends what criteria you use.

StarTale wins if you look at both team and individual results combined imo.

That kind of implies we want to accept that abomination of a proleague season.

You forgot Seed D: He won a title for LG-IM too
MVP also won 2 GSLs and had a 2nd place
oh wait did you mean Mvp as in the team and not the player?

Gomstreamer is not working for me (SQ Free). The audio plays fine but video does not.

Possibly a codec issue of some sort, can anyone else confirm?

A followup - I left it running in the background for 10 minutes while I Googled and TL Search'd everything for an answer.

It just suddenly started working. So Gomstreamer still works with GOM's new streaming options (even on Windows 8), but it takes quite a while for the video to kick in.

IM should get team of the year imo. They have 2 GSLs and a 2nd place. MVP won IEM. First got 2nd at an MLG. YongHwa won WCG Korea and got 2nd at HSC. They won 2 IPLTACs and took 2nd in IPTL. Maybe ST compares but I don't think so would need to list out the results to be sure though.

Oops, I meant the team 'MVP'. A lot of people forget that the first GSL this year was MVP team kill and Sniper won so they have 2 1st and 1 2nd.

Mvp is the player and MVP the team. Mvp ( the player) has won only one GSL this year.
