I'm blaming the zerg race. Mothership-archon-colossus is the response to infestor broodlord, and MMMVG is fun to watch and actually difficult to play and multitask with. Why would you even post stuff like this in these threads... it's already been said and argued about a hundred billion times. Just stop, enjoy the games or move on its really our only choice as viewers. I'm just responding to someone calling Parting a gimmick protoss, and people asking me to explain. I'm going to follow your wise advice and stop, and continue not watching any zerg games which do not involve leenock. I'm not overly fond of ZvZ or PvP but I still watch and find things to enjoy in them (usually ridiculous micro or multi-task) - to each his own though. Sorry I missed what you were responding to, I can't understand how anyone would say Parting is a gimmicky player he can all-in better than just about anyone, micro, macro, and decision making are all world class. Glad we see eye-to-eye on this. I did not mean to come off as a balance whiner before this. I'm partial to PvP for one reason: protoss pros are already a rarity in most tournaments (bar the WCS tournaments where korean protosses dominated) and watching them take each other out is just brutal This
I prefer fighting gateway units and up to immortals and high templars, but colossus is just rage inducing

If you want to blame infestor broodlord for making ms-archon-colo, then you need to blame colo-sentries for infestor broodlord. I am sure zergs would be happy with ling/roaches if protoss didn't build colo/storm. Was blaming the game to begin with, not Leenock personally. Why not ask why the person i started responding to on why Parting is a gimmicky player?

Heh we're all praying that HotS changes the meta-game drastically (in a good way). Playing the same compositions over and over gets really old and I honestly just blame aoe units. Anyway, watching proleague until break is over.

I'd rather blame units that limit micro (ff, fungal and how the races are so dependant on them)...aoe is cool to watch and use. Yes, proleague will actually inject variety into our sc2-watcher lives with the bw maps (even if they are weird as shit, it's just super interesting and different)

Anyone else get the feeling ZvZvZvZ semifinals incoming?

Disappointing results. Hopefully Blizzard cup doesn't turn into IPL all over again. Still I suppose it's too early to comment on the efficacy of the patch.

ZvZ (and PvP) are better than ZvP.
Though it's certainly slightly disappointing seeing zerg so comfortably 4-0 in non-mirrors already this tourney.

I think comfortably might be an overstatement...DRG > MVP 2-1, and MVP is of questionable condition nowadays. Also Leenock > Parting 2-1, where he basically blind-countered Parting's builds in both of his wins...

Yes, he can still get 3-1 but he needs Leenock to drop a set.

I've always enjoyed watching PvP, as long as it doesn't get to colossus wars. Cheese is a plenty (cannon rushing + proxy 2gate), games tends to be low econ which are a nice change of pace from all these macro games now a days, and it's interesting to see how the game goes with the different builds (blink rush, DT rush, stargate).
My biggest fear that I don't see mentioned often is PvP in HOTS. I'm afraid that the mothership core will be too good on the defensive and we'll see less 1 base vs 1 base with heavily delayed expansions (compared to other match ups) and more early nexus vs early nexus into straight colossus / tempest.
Now that would be boring
