They need Hero, Taeja and Stephano in frequently or we're sadly just going to have another foreigner laughing stock team. Actually it being a EG line up other than Zenio getting Flashed makes me a bit happier.

HerO, Taeja, Stephano, Sea, and here is the deal... I don't know who might be that good 5th but I'd put IdrA there... not sure why but just a feeling.

I'm kinda surprised by the 4-0, sure KT has years of experience on how to prepare for a specific map but still. I would at least expect JYP to win a game...

This was maybe true for BW, but not for Sc2. I would also think that the vast majority of sc2 sales were not made in korea. But yes, they have a different system, and better (as in more focused) training conditions. Your "popidols" (lol) live in small appartments and have to share their room with other people though. This does not work so well for the western players because a) not every team can afford an EG style house and b) the players are from all over the world, compared to just korea. 2) This does hurt the tournaments in the long run. It was a novelty to see foreigners play against top koreans, but its not anymore. The next big thing were/are Kespa players. This will wear off too. It gets *boring* to view foreign tournaments where such a large portion of players are koreans who pretty much make out the best places among themselves. There is a reason that the most viewed matches are foreigners / koreans. Do you realy think that all the other Proleague games will get a viewercount like the EGLiquid ones? If you don't start to invest in growing a local scene it will NEVER get better. (Additionally, single tournaments like MLG are way more suitable to play in even if you are not american than a weeks/month long GSL) 3) Before you insult people you should check those "facts" yourself. Those 48% are not from a single country, the largest batch (~7%) are austrians, a direct neighbour and also german speaking. Just like 13-14% are not from the EU. Also, compare to the other leagues and how well they do. Spain, pretty much the best team in the world has 37%. EPL? 65% and they have a huge problem in their national team. Every league who wants to get better has to invest into homegrown talent. If this is not the case they will suffer. A large portion of the best players of each club are from their own youthsystem now, it has the most fans in the stadions of all competitors, its not a 2 team league like spain and it attracts even more viewers on TV from all over the world. But ofc you can think what you want, just don't expect the situation to get any better. The hype is down, the addon will not be able to ignite it to WoL levels again. We will see who pays the prizemoney or flights when the viewercount gets lower and lower.
