Single elim doesn't have that 'problem'. What other sports have double elim brackets anyway? Problem with single elimination is players will be flying over for 1 set if they lose unless there is group play. A lot of amateur sports use double elimination for this reason. It is hard to justify sponsors to give money to fly over for 1 match. In pro sports with more money involved, it is not a big issue since the cost is easily covered.

Not the perfect system but some what fair. How's that not fair? The loser's already been punished by playing at least one extra series. Normally sports brackets give you a clean slate with each new round.

However, to make it fair, it does produce anti climatic finals. There's really no way around that without making it unfair to the player from winner's bracket. One bad draw, two bad draws, what's the difference?... champions shouldn't care about draws. Is what some people would say. opty's Bo9 starting 2-0 sounds good though. Might be too long a series though.

Let's say you lost to a guy in the Winner final, then proceed to bop the player coming from loser bracket in 10 minutes (because you are the second best) then it's hardly fair for the player who never lost at all.

Normally sports brackets give you a clean slate with each new round. But is the punishment enough? Let say the top 2 players are heads and shoulders above everyone else? Then it is not fair that the first match is essentially meaningless.
