More unfair to leenock to go out first time he lost and not getting a second chance. Would you rather it be single elim where violent doesn't even get a 2nd chance and is just out? The guy from loser's should just thank his lucky stars that it's double elim and he even gets a 2nd chance.

Several tournaments do it with double elimination. Played more games because you got sent there and what do you know. Leenock sent him down there 3-1. I'm not a big fan of advantages either btw but meh.

To be honest, I don't think there really is a "perfect" system to deal with loser bracket vs winner bracket situations, all of them have positives and negatives.

I like double elimination because we get more games, but in my opinion single elimination is a better format, mostly because it is difficult to give the unbeaten player a good enough advantage in the finals without it being 'unfair' to someone. Single elim doesn't have that 'problem'. What other sports have double elim brackets anyway?

I like double elim because it usually gets the two best from tourney at finals and avoids someone being eliminated first round due to a bad draw with two top players playing early. However, to make it fair, it does produce anti climatic finals. There's really no way around that without making it unfair to the player from winner's bracket.

Hopefully hopefully after 2 events (IPL 4 & 5) they will learn that the final day has been far too drawn out. Whether at the venue itself or watching from home/barcraft/whatever, people can't stay all night on a sunday (exhausting your crowd before a grand finals, no no no no). The final day should be the grand final and not much else.

Also there are two different streams. But there was just too much content this weekend. I've been out partying this weekend and I still watched more SC2 than I can handle in a weekend.
